This is something that I’ve never understood. Why, exactly, is the Beam Rifle a Rare REQ, while the standard Sniper Rifle is an Uncommon? The Sniper Rifle has more ammunition, and does just about the same thing as the Beam Rifle. The only advantage I can see from the Beam Rifle is that if you space out your shots, you won’t have to descope. Other than that, I feel the Sniper is better, so why are they arranged this way in the REQ system?
Its better that way so you can get way more snipers. I guess they did it so that there was a legendary for each sniper. If the sniper was rare there probably be a mythic beam rifle cause req weapons don’t do double legendaries.

That’s what I was beginning to think, though I don’t understand why they couldn’t just pull each weapon down a rarity if that were the case.

Huh. Forgot about that part. I suppose that makes sense.
I would say the beam rifle is just easier to get kills with then the normal sniper. It may have less ammo but the ease of use garuntees a higher chance of a kill.
Im thinking it’s because the Sniper has 4 variants? Could be wrong though
The Beam rifle is better than the sniper. For various reasons already stated.
