SWAT is and always has been a novelty gametype like Snipers, Rockets, Fiesta, etc., yet it has its own permanent ranked playlist. Since launch, even.
Why? I mean, if enough people like it, then sure, make it a permanent playlist, but why make it ranked? It’s a completely different kind of game. It’s all about reaction time and twitch shooting, and it strips every other gameplay mechanic that the rest of ranked Arena judges people on. A ranking from SWAT is not a proper judge of a player’s skill in Halo.
Ranks from one game type don’t affect another. I don’t understand your question. Enough people like it.

It affects your CSR and your “highest rank achieved in any playlist” thing on your service record.

CSR is specific to each playlist. You could be onyx in SWAT and bronze in team arena.

Whoops, I thought CSR worked like it did in Halo 4 where it was a universal number not tied to a playlist. Didn’t realize it was synonymous with playlist rank in Halo 5.
Regardless, your top CSR factors in to where you place in Social games and possibly Warzone as well.

Yea, they’re all separated.
I don’t think that’s right either, Social playlists have their own hidden ranking system. And Warzone has no ranks, or if it does its hidden like social.
SWAT literally doesn’t affect anything else.
I think it should be ranked.
