Why is Super Slayer population low?

How come Slayer has thousands of players but Super slayer only has a few hundred?

Most people just jump into Team Slayer. It’s the normal thing to do for most when they get on a Halo game. They don’t know the difference between the two, and frankly, they don’t care.

  1. people don’t know what it is
  2. people that do know what it is, and do like it wont go in when population is so low.
  3. It favors precisions weapons and prevents noobs from attempting noob tactics.

I prefer title update, because decrease in bloom kills are faster and I enjoy the pace much more than normal slayer. However the low population keeps me away because I simply wont be matched with any one my skill level. I always get a match where we one team absolutely dominates, and even when I am on the winning side, I simply don’t enjoy one sided combat.

Though I find the slow pace of normal slayer… slow… I consistently get matched with people that don’t bother using AL or JP and find more enjoyment then I do waiting for a match in Super and a poor match at that.

Or, you know, people just prefer Team Slayer.

People seem to ignore this one completely, the TU isn’t accepted and loved by everybody shockingly enough.

I didn’t love some of the TU stuff, but I quit playing any kind of team slayer once community maps were added. I’m assuming that community maps are in Super Slayer too.

Which one is better?

> Which one is better?

Depends who you ask. Bottom line is it’s personal preference. Play the one you want play and/or like better.

I do know one thing, I keep getting utterly destroyed in the TU playlist.

Personally I disliked the divide in the community with the different playlists.

Depends on what you like. Something more casual, then Slayer. Something more competitive, then TU/Super Slayer settings are for you.

Even though I prefer TU settings over Default Reach, super slayer fails as a playlist mainly because its low population. It’s like a baby step towards MLG settings but I prefer playing MLG playlist because my team is more likely to match with another team of equal skill.

I’m trying to get into shape for Halo 4 so I guess I’ll stick with TU. I’m getting my butt whooped though.

Super Slayer is much better. Smarter players that vote for DMR starts and the better more logical maps most of the time. Players for the most part know how to move, shoot, and even sometimes play smart. A concept I am surprised to say 90% of the players in reach have no clue how to do all at once.

I see team slayer as a padding stats playlist. Who needs to pad stats in team objective or griffball when you have team slayer at your doorstep giving you +10 matches again and again. It’s quite possibly the most hilarious and casual playlist in all of Halo. Yay for fail trueskill. It’s not even worthy to be called ‘team slayer’ when compared to halo 3 ‘Ranked team slayer’.

but I guess in the end though even super slayer is still easy. It’s just not hilarious easy like team slayer is lol.

i honestly think they should remove it and add a ffa swat playlist which would be very fun

The TU is rejected by the majority of Reach’s population.
Many still don’t know what the TU is.
And, in my opinion, the playlist is unwanted.

Why is it rejected?

Going to have to ask the same thing, you completely contradicted yourself saying many don’t know what TU is and then saying it was rejected.

$50 says its gonna get removed. By the way it sounds and low population, i wouldn’t be surprised.

It was a poorly written post, but I think it’s just because people don’t enjoy the TU changes and prefer the ordinary slayer.

tbh, the more I play this game (sparingly as it is), the more I realize that the TU updates… are kinda miniscule for the casual player that doesn’t know the true nuances of this game. 100% Bloom and 75% Bloom (or 80% Bloom… whatever it was reduced to) is a very small difference, and while it does matter to people who obsess over the DMR, the casual Halo fan won’t care. The other tweaks to certain armor effects, such as Active Camo and Armor Lock, are also not noticed because I’ve noticed a slight decline of both Armor Abilities, even in the Vanilla playlist.

I think the biggest change of Reach’s TU was the Bleedthrough, which I loved, but it was removed. Without it, the tweaks of the patch are pretty miniscule, all things considered. Unless you’re a diehard Halo Reach fan, you probably won’t recognize the mechanics have been changed at all.

Im pretty sure it is just way too awesome for the vast majority of Reach players.
