Why is Slayer still in the rotation of quickplay?

Now that there is the Team Slayer (Showdown) playlist, why is slayer still in the rotation of quickplay?
It doesnt make sense. I have to complete the challenge “capture 7 flags”, but i got 3 Slayer matches in a row in quickplay.
Just make quickplay an only objective playlist: Stronghold, Oddball and CTF.
Or remove Quickplay and add a playlist like “Team Objectives”

I think it would be fine if showdown got removed from quickplay and just name that playlist objectives.

By “Showdown”, do you mean Slayer?

Yes, Showdown = Slayer
It doesnt make sense to keep it in the quickplay rotation, since there is a dedicated “Team Slayer” playlist

At what point was Slayer called Showdown? As long as I can remember it was named Slayer.

I get your point, but when i want to play slayer now, i start the “Team Slayer” playlist. I start Quickplay for objective game types

The only time I play Team Slayer is when I have a challenge that forces me into that playlist. I like the current mix in quick play. Having said that, I could just as easily get my fix of slayer by selecting that playlist when I like to. So, I would fully support an objective only playlist and a slayer only playlist.

No thanks, I like the mix up in quick match…besides it is “quick match” just get me in the best match possible as quick as possible.
can’t do that if excluding an entire gamemode.

Did halo 2 have a quick play playlist?

If it did I think it had slayer and objectives in it as well.

Know what you mean. Take a look a the challenges “complete 2 Team Slayer match”, “win 2 Team Slayer match”. Shouldnt be a problem, there is a dedicated playlist for that.
Challenge “complete 2 CTF match”, “win 2 CTF match” → timesink, because you get just a random gamemode

Ideally you should be able to pick whatever specific game mode you want to play, and quick play should be any game mode and you’d click that when you’re fine with anything.

This. I hate Strongholds, I really do not want to play it. Same as ranked CTF. I wish they’d take that out or make a separate playlist.

Actually, the literal transaltion from italian would be “Slaughter” from “Massacro” or something like that, i don’t know why you suggested showdown, but it doesn’t really matter lol

I would not be so irritated if the challenges for team slayer worked in quick play matches.

I played for 3 hours the other day just to get a single game of Oddball. Half way through we got Oddball and half my team quit so we had bots. We lost. I almost smashed my Elite Series 2. 343 I want to love this game but the challange system is exhausting. Just copy and paste MCCs.
