So, it could be lore reference to the Spartan IIIs, Headhunters specifically who are assigned in a pair for sabotage/assassinations/espionage operations.
Headhunters are better than your average Spartans and were handpicked before the suicidal OPERATION: PROMETHEUS and etc.
They’re given an enhanced prototypical wear of energy-shielded SPI (Semi-Powered Infiltration) armor which are light-weight, low-profile and has active camo embedded on their armor-platings.
They’re essentially stealth but weaker MJOLNIR as SPI users have to be more tactful than MJOLNIR users.
Season 2’s armor core bares some similarities to the SPI armor’s natural characteristics being slimmer, minimal, tactful in appearance and could be a callback to that.
Straight to the point, if one of the assigned Headhunters die when operating.
Their pair/team status will revoke ‘BINARY’ and label the last one alive in the pair as ‘LONE WOLF’. Notable Headhunters were Jun, Noble Six, etc.
Because they finally figured out this game has the worst ping than a ps2 online game so they want people to know you are on your own when you play… pretty simple to figure out.

Know what you mean. Stopped playing infinite in january. Played yesterday my first infinite match since i stopped. I just wanted to check how the gameplay changed.

i started with a dozen friends, now it’s just me.
HOWEVER they’re all coming back with season 2.
I was just going to make the same comment. The vast majority of the remaining players will be “Lone Wolves”.
Unless they add in the ability to manually select the Server to play on in S2, as was in Halo 5 and MCC, I won’t even bother re-installing it on my Xbox 80% of my matches are 250 ms ping times and playing a fast paced FPS at 4 frames per second is ridiculous. 20% of my games, when I connect to the Seattle Server is 25 ms, but 343 Server Matchmakign Server thinks Amsterdam is closer to Alberta Canada than Seattle, so 250 ms ping times.

I don’t blame you but I’m not sure why people uninstall the game…why go through the hassle of downloading it again? I haven’t played for a few weeks but it’s still sat there on my Xbox HDD on the off chance that I might want a quick game or for when it gets fixed.
My reasons for no longer playing are the same as yours…based in EU but I don’t appreciate being placed on Washington, Dallas or Los Angeles high ping servers in 50% of my games.

I suspect that it will require a full download by the time they finally fix my issues with the selection server.

All my friends left in January and none have a desire to come back for at least a full year.

Probably due to Headhunters, or Lone Wolf Spartans such as Noble 6 was
Yep I played with two friends in the beginning, but both have moved on to other games now and will probably not give Infinite another chance. I’ve been playing from the start and I’m really excited for season 2.

I’d say its because of the new spartans they are introducing appear to work together and probably go radio silent alot.
Same. But as soon as we started trying to play together in BTB and itnwould randomize what team we are on, everything just sort of fell apart and we dont really play Halo together anymore
Welp, guess I’m nobody.
Fr, I have friends who still play infinite and mcc.
Same, Saturday night XBL parties of 4-10 friends based on who can get on is great.
Yeah I can tell. Seen you respond to almost every post I’ve seen
Not saying thats bad though
I just love Halo, what else can I say?
