Why is Sarah Plamer, so unlikeable.

I don’t like her for the reason of how her and other Spartan 4’s are just magically more powerful than Spartan 2’s. Really just look at what crimson does in Spartan ops. That is crazy for only 4 people to just go out and take down that many covies.

They leave with hundreds of covenant dead in a single mission. Just 4 Spartan IV’s that makes no sense and not to mention that all the IV’s see fighting covies as a joke. Why and Palmer is the biggest one.

Insulting elites like they were kicking our -Yoinks!- in a war not even 10 years ago. I just think she should ide and the Spartan IV’s to take the job more seriously.

By “take their job serious” do you mean be depressing, sullen defeatist that have no hope of winning? Nah, some bravado and confidence is kinda necessary. This is a part of what we call “Troop Morale”

Also, Spartan IVs are the first Spartans to be recruited from Adult volunteers… As in all Spartans before them were disciplined, trained and indoctrinated since they were Pre-teens. Basically just ODST’s with some basic augmentation and Spartan Armor. If they survived as ODST’s and now have been upgraded with augmentation and super armor and advanced alien energy shields… Their boosted Morale is to be expected.

Her personality just makes her look like an -Yoink-.

I don’t know why, but she has a vibe about her that says “I do everything right because I am.”

She shot Halsey as well so I hate her more.

They tried too hard to make her an untypical, tough as nails strong female character that they overshoot the mark and land in an annoying zone of a stuck-up -Yoink- who thinks she’s better then everyone else.

Really, they wanted to make their own Female Shepard, even more blatant by the fact that it’s the same voice actor.

just because you have high morale doesn’t mean you see the extinction as a game. In Spartan ops there was almost no feel for danger. Because they have made the Covies -Yoink- and Spartan IV"S gods. Like gardening tool shadow team took down a covenant battle cruiser in like 10 minutes. When MC and ODST took heavy loses just to save Keyes in the Flood.

I must be the only person who doesn’t hate her character. I dont love her either… She’s flat like most others…in the context of Halo 4’s thin character development…

She’s all business and a party line soldier. Kinda reminds me of Carolina from RVB, minus the humor.

Carolina, was that way because she had things happen to her. Under neither she was just a person who had just broken into what she became. Then she overcame that, when we we’re shown why she had that personally. I thought that palmer would have something good on her in Spartan ops after how she talked down to MC. Like she was unimpressed with him.

ODST as seen in Halo 3 ODST got serious when it came to it. You see that in the first cut scene. They weren’t just trigger happy troops they were trigger happy troops who knew when to get their game faces on.

Spartan IV’s aren’t the first adult Spartans the Orion project was.

She´s weak, a poor leader and let´s personal feelings get in the way of her duties.

I sincerely hope she´ll be killed off in Halo 5.

Cause she’s a big -Yoink!- if you know what I mean…

But seriously, she was a promising character in Single-Player but in Spartan she’s always “Shut up Miller and give me the codes” or Dalton “Get those guns online” and then Dalton says “But Ma’am those guns can’t get online that fast.” Then she gets all offensive and says “Dalton do it or I’ll beat you up” to me she’s a big ol’meanie, but other than that I like the other characters their relax and pretty funny at times. But Palmer oh god she really needs to take a chill pill when it comes to Spartan Ops…

I hope she will get killed off in the next season of Spartans ops coming out this summer. She is unneeded and yes a bad leader, when she was gone and Jared was in command. He actually cared. That is what troops want. A caring leader who can still get the job done even better than his predecessor.

Foreshadowing "Duh, Duh Duuuhhh…well it going to take a whole army to take her out, remember in the last chapters in Spartan Ops. She literally killed over 100 Elite’s before reloading her Magnum pistols. Ether she knows how to save ammo or that she’s a king on the battlefield… 0_o

Are you sure they didn’t hit the head on Palmer the way they wanted to and it’s you who thinks she should be something else?

Palmer is the poster child of the SIV’s. “Soldiers” who think they deserve to be Spartans because they were chosen. They don’t have to act, walk, talk or fight like Spartans because as long as they’ve had the shot and their suit, they’re Spartans.

These SIV’s do not know fear… They do not know anguish… They’ve yet to know the Flood.

if my memory don’t betray me

she take out a Knight with a very weak meele to the head and 1 shot of a magnum pistol lol

Do note I mean to imply that Spartans, 1.0’s, II’s and III’s, they do not feel fear (though some are quite stupid in spite of their training at times).
The SIV’s that Halsey recongises exists amongst the many, they do not feel fear, but they are very far between.
The remaining SIV’s, they may say they’re not afraid… They will be. They will be.

Palmer’s attitude is based on riding the currently most powerful ship known supported by numbers of military equipment that was proven to be extremely effective if the firmware was set right.
Palmer is no John-117. Palmer is no Avery Johnson. Heck, Palmer ain’t no Rookie. She does not know her own limits. She believes she’s invincible.
I do like that I saw how Castle’s death did put a kibash on her attitude a bit, at least for a bit. But the way of such an insecure person with such power is to bounce back quick with the superiority complex.

I love her like I love Ackerson. I love that I dislike the characters but not because either are bad. I bet as we get to know Palmer more we will understand how she came to hold such an attitude.
Now I say understand, I don’t mean justify. We all walk our own paths by our own choices. How we hold ourselves for getting where we are, well with humility is just one way to hold one’s self… Palmer is nearly the opposite.

Like Ackerson who was a patriot and well intended. For all his PoV he could have seen Halsey’s actions as just a pebble and his way was going to be the boulder to rock the pond.
In a time where death was the only outcome for failure, how could Ackerson not test John-117 the way he did (attempt to kill, same thing :)?
How could Ackerson not use the willing to his bidding… Even if he too was using children. With no parents to steal from, surely HIS way was more moral.
If it weren’t for Ackerson, both Noble Team and Blue Team would not have been able to contribute to the moments that have numerously saved the UNSC.

Ahh, it’s Gray vs Grey vs Greye battle. I love it!

Palmer…is a Spartan “wannabe”. Not to mention her personality, and her lack of respect towards individuals, such as calling Scientists, “Eggheads”, and the Storm Covies “hingeheads”. If you compare her to Chief, although there would be know way, it seems MC respects his enemies

For me it’s that she never seems to smile and she always looks angry.

It’s also the fact that she seems to talk down to people before they have even given her a reason to, like she’s trying too hard to establish superiority.

I have to admit though, she’s grown on me over time. Del Rio hasn’t.

It’s her face that makes her unlikeable. She is usually sporting fringed eyebrows and has a bad attitude.

Del Rio’s character is made to be hated just so people can enjoy Lasky’s character more.

I dont like tall women. Thats why I dont like Palmer.

lol, so true…
