Why is ranked so rigged to force 50%?

Sorry if this doesn’t belong here/gets posted a lot. But it seems really obvious to me that it’s forced 50% in that almost every game is “roll or be rolled.” But how do I break this 50% curse? How do I win the ones that are a loss by 1 point? Imo, my aim is good. It just seems like the game uses a mix of matching you with really good/really bad players and giving the intended winner of the round advantageous spawns i.e. closer to power weapons/to get the drop on enemy. Idk. I’m sure everyone will just say I suck which I’m sure is partially true. I guess then if that’s the case I’m looking for tips/advice to not suck. Preferably more detailed than “git gud” please and thank you.

Idk, are there like good videos/players to watch? I just want to rank up :’-( I really don’t think I’m bad at Halo. Hell, I made it to #1 on the leaderboard for the Gauss on Reach (secret bragging topic jk) so even if the gauss is lol, I can’t be that bad. So how do I conquer this ranked system? I can’t help but have the old pokemon “I wanna be the very best” song play in my head. Idk if it’s still that, I haven’t messed with pokemon in forever. God, I’m old. I might as well join The Silver Snipers. (jk i’m 26 so that’s not the problem… I don’t think…)

Doubles is what I’ve been playing most recently. Also, a lot of games I play with my friend who is really good and most of the time he carries hard and it’s always against another really good carrier and really bad player, which I guess is fair, but how do I get on that good player level? It seems so rigged to me that 2 players are doing really good and 2 just aren’t despite putting forth an honest effort. So much of the time I get sandwiched and they’re just these well-oiled machines of teammates and then I get spawned cross map from my friend and it keeps going like that. Ugh I’m probably just ranting and not going to get a good answer. I just wish I knew how to beat this damn system and get to diamond at least (stuck between plat 2-3 rn)

tl;dr- help me git gud and rank up out of plat in duos mostly/general advice welcome

It’s not. The matchmaker will do its best to get as close to a 50/50 chance for either team to win as it can, but who wins is entirely up to each teams players. The game absolutely does not force losses on you to keep this percentage.

Thinking that way is going at odds with what the ranking system is intended for. Short answer: you want to be Diamond, you got to play like a Diamond. 343i doesn’t want you to be able to grind ranks. They want ranks to accurately display your skill. If you’re stuck in Plat, it means that you play like a Plat. If you have to beat the system or game the system to get to a certain rank, then do you really belong in that rank? Do you play like the average player in that rank? It may be gratifying to the ego to have a higher rank, but if it’s undeserved then it’s meaningless.
