This contains spoilers for the Hunt the Truth finale. News is sent to the people about the attack on Biko, and they release the 2nd video, proving Chief’s innocence. Yet, this wasn’t done by Ben, but by ONI. If the people are now believing in Chief again, and the public knows of his just act, why is ONI still after him? What could he be doing that’s so dangerous to them that Fireteam Osiris is sent after Blue Team?
Chief went AWOL, and you can’t just have a Spartan-II that’s so skilled that he saved the galaxy four times in a row running around. In fact, Blue Team as a whole has gone AWOL, and they’re all Spartan-IIs that are extremely lethal and have completed extremely dangerous missions. Of course, there’s probably a larger reason for “the hunt” that we’ll learn soon enough, but you never know.
I think ONI still knows they screwed up and more and more people are questioning the specifics of the whole Spartan II program. It wouldn’t take much for ONI to create another situation like the one on Biku (sorry if the spelling is wrong) and once again paint the Chief as a traitor. My guess is that Chief refuses a direct order from command and follows his gut feeling to find Cortana.

We know she shows up in mission 2, and Chief is desperate to find her but the UNSC can’t afford to have one of their best assets off on a wild goose chase.
