I don’t understand this playlist, people run around with shotguns, in hand, all the time. It’s pathetic that this game has come to this, 343 should have removed sprint for this playlist. I absolutely hate being forced to get countless head shot snapshots whilst people sprint towards me, rushing me with shotguns. There is no fun in this. Where are the sniper duels, I thought there would be some. Least to say, I’m facing bad players that have every advantage in such situations, all the mobility in the world, facing someone that has to get a near impossible shot off to kill them.
Is it map design, is it sprint, or am I just countlessly facing players strange players? o.O
How do they have every advantage? Don’t you have exactly the same advantages? Aren’t you choosing to go for snap shots instead of using the shotgun? I don’t get it.
When I snipe, I find a spot that I can see most players coming, if they come running at me with a shotgun and I see them in time. I switch weapons and start shooting. Sometimes I try snipe them off. If not my weapon fire normally slows them down, forces them into a retreat or kills them. Either way, it is sometimes just about luck.

The gap is closed so quickly that you don’t quite have time to switch to your shotgun.

I wish. Every game I’m in becomes a shotgun brawl, 3-4 people get into close range and start shooting each other. If you’re the sniper, you get charged, and flanked on every position. The way the maps are made, I can’t blame them.
I’ve had a few games where I get the opening kill on someone wielding a shotgun, sprinting to try to flank. People don’t even try to use the sniper.
I try to use the sniper, but snipers simply aren’t my forte, in any game, so I prefer too use the shotgun in a lot of situations, but I try to use the sniper when the time comes. I think the maps have something to do with it though.
I have only played it a few times, but the 1 time I did lose a match the other team did favor rushing in with a shotgun. Not that I have anything against their choice of weapons, but the way the maps are built, sniping isn’t that advantageous when the enemy can close distance on you fairly quickly. I don’t want to see shotty snipers turn to shotty only, but if need be, sometimes the best way to counter shotguns, is with more shotguns. I do enjoy sniping when I get the chance though.
It’s easy 343 made this game so that fast play is “better” than ranged skill shots, with -Yoink- radar not picking people up till it’s too and with unlimited sprint plus a shoulder charge that reminds me of MW2 knife lunging it’s easy to understand why shotguns are the way to go.
I’d much RATHER have an incompetent sniper trying to bum rush me with a shotgun, then a COMPETANT sniper trying to cross map me, or bum rush me with a SNIPER.

I’m merely curious if anyone has an answer of such. You seem to be a rather angry person, judging on how even your typing has traces of anger within.
