It isn’t…
Imo, best Halo mp I’ve played yet. Most fun I’ve had as well.
It’s fast paced, polished (with the exception of the kill cams…either remove them or fix them, 343i), the ordinance system is actually really great, and the visuals are amazing.
lol wrong halo mp is great
really fun
best multiplayer in halo in a long time
It isnt. It is all a matter of opinion. A lot of people like me will say that they like the changes 343 did, and others will say they hate it because they dont want to give up the same play style they were used to using for the past couple of years.

Every new weapon is overpowered. Every noob has a power weapon handed to them. AR is way overpowered. Everyone has sprint, camo, a power weapon, and maybe an overshield or damage boost on top of that. Everything is so random. You may get a lucky ordinance with a weapon that is useful, or you may get a choice between a needler, concussion rifle, and nades. Join in progress is horrible. Often times you join a match that is almost over, with you being on the losing end of course. If you join a friend in progress, you may be on their team, or may not. Clearly people want to be on their friends team, so why 343 would put you on the opposing team is beyond me.
I can’t get into Halo 4s MP, I don’t find it fun anymore.

This coming from a H3 commander grade 4 lol.
I love it! i Personally love everything from the weapon balance, to being able to join friends mid match, and even ordnance drops! and any experienced Halo Vet can stick to the outskirts of the map and clean up all day if that’s what makes them feel warm and fuzzy.
There are many issues in Multiplayer like the Boltshot, the DMR, etc. but Halo 4 has an amazing multiplayer, better than Halo: Reach for sure. Halo 4 has just been released for all of you people saying Halo 4 sucks. 343i will work with the community to solve the problems that plague the game but if you want to quit, no one is stopping you.
Get rid of JIP, instant respawn, and weapon despawns and this is a great game for me.
Right now though, those things are killing MP and customs for me :(.

2)Every person had a power weapon handed to them in Reach as well, dont make it sound like this is a new thing.
I dont, I use PV. And a couple of things you said were also Ordanances
Ordinaces are random and that is the way it should be. I like the randomness of it. What fun would it be if you were to get the same ones over and over again?
Join in Progress is one of the best things. I know people dont like it because it will put you in a losing match a lot, but look at it from the perspective of that team. I hated how in Reach my whole team would leave and be left with a 1v5 and not be able to get anymore teammates. Learn to not live by your stats that much. As for joining your friends game and being put on the other team, so? Why should you be put on your friends team? if your friends team is full the game will obviously put you on the team that has less players, that is just common sense. If not and it is even, then oh well. That is the way it goes with this. It is not like you are accepting a specific invitation to the game. You are just joining the game generally regardless of the person who is in it. It has ALWAYS been like that.
Best multiplayer I’ve ever played.
The gameplay is really good… But the matchmaking/playlists make it bad.
No skill based ranks
Just one gametype per playlist makes them slightly repetitive
Missing gametypes that really should be there - FFA slayer, regular team slayer 4v4 and doubles
I love it and think it’s the best my only problem is everybody whining about overpowered or underpowered weaponry when the game has been out for only a week. ya you get screwed on ordinance but thats because it’s supposed to be random and they adjust the chance of getting power weapons so you can’t get a incineration cannon every drop. I get about 3 ordinance drops per game and i always pick the power ups anyway.
Half of the fun in Halo was rushing for weapons, making pushes when you knew you had certain weapons, controlling the map and knowing what you were up against. That meta game is shot to hell.
Now you have no idea if that team you are pushing on has rockets, snipers, or a fricken bio rifle…
Now MP is a bunch of people running around like chickens with their heads cut off.
I dont think this needs explanation
Most maps are way to big and most play terrible. Haven seems to be the most popular map and its bad lol. The map is a giant donut with no power positions. It is the definition of a cluster -Yoink-.
Flinch and not knocking out of scope.
This mechanic is responsible for most of the complaints people have about the DMR being over powered. If people were knocked out of scope the long range pick off fests would be put to an end really quick.
Not only did the get rid of precision forge controls, they also didnt fix the framerate issues on split screen… Add that onto the fact that now instead of gray, we got white.
Instant respawn… So now not only do teams get the random chance to have insane power weapon with the click of a button but also you can lose a battle, spawn, sprint back, and kill that guy before his shields have recharged… that is a bad mechanic. Not only that but now bad players who may have went -5 or so before have the capability to drop some -20 bombs.
Join in progress. Starting a game down a player even for a little bit of the game is broken and unfair. There isnt much more that needs to be said. It is just terrible.
Honestly this is just what I can think of off the top of my head and believe me there are a lot more.
I want to like this game, I am not complaining bc I am getting destroyed or anything, actually I do pretty well…the problem is, this is not the Halo I grew up with… To some of you that may not be an issue but to me… it is.
The difference between me and many complainers here is though… I will play something else. I am just giving my critique.
There is a forum post from 343i asking for suggestion for upcoming playlist from what i have heard swat is being added this week.

Don’t bother with brad, he is a forum troll. You can tell his grip on the games mechanics are so poor he may as well be grabbing lines out of a hat with his complaints as they are shallow and unfounded. There is a fine line between a negative opinion and baseless insults.
