Like seriously whenever the host is Mexican there’s incredible lag. The bad kind, too. The kind where you can see a person punch the air and then you die because apparently the air is your back. Or the kind where no matter what you do, you cannot kill the host. You can shoot at him all day, punch him all day, and still die every time and never even scratch him. And then they -Yoink!- you, as if lagging someone to death requires an insane amount of skill. When the host is American, the game is fine. UK? It’s fine. Mexico? It -Yoinking!- sucks. Why does this happen?
Maybe bad server from the country itself.
It’s probably the servers or service providers in Mexico.
¡Viva Mexico!
It seems like players from other countries (Mexico, India, UK etc.) have priority to be host. I can’t wait for designated servers in Halo 5 and the doing away of the “Host” system.
I wish the Avoid Player button actually worked for these type of players, but I end up playing these people again on later days. Has anyone noticed that many players from Mexico have silver memberships but are still able to play matchmaking?

They must be running on trials to play Matchmaking.
Well Mexico’s internet infrastructure isn’t exactly the best. Also, you are really far from them so that plays a part in latency.
