Seriously the mode should be playable on ANY MAP! Also why does Breaker not allow you to spawn a hill in KOTH or any objectives in custom games?
Catalyst is an amazing map, Breaker needs serious work.

Because last time they put new maps in the game people complained that they were thrown in the rotation with all the other maps making them harder to play on. So they did it this way so everyone would have a chance to play on the new map all they wanted. I think it’s a great idea.
I’d be pissed if it was thrown in with all the other BTB maps. Considering halo infinites RNG is such -Yoink!- I’d probably never even get breaker in my rotation

It’s because of the “Interference” event and the narrative tied to that location. After next week when the event is over, LSS will have all BtB maps in the matchmaking pool.

I played a custom game of 8 player LSS on Catalyst, and it was arguably better than LSS on the other 3 BTB maps which all have very campable spots and are extremely wide open for BR spawn killing. I’m not looking forward to LSS on the other 3 maps. LSS on Fragmentation will be garbage if people go inside the loot rooms and camp
Hopefully the Fragmentation loot caves are locked for LSS.

I get that, but to be stuck playing the same map for a week is overkill. Especially when you need to grind to complete challenges and get XP/unlockables.
I’ve played probably 30-40 games on it so far and am still enjoying it lots. I’m super grateful they didn’t toss it into the main rotation right away. Sorry it got stale for you so fast

I was wary of Season 2 focussing on solo play, as I’d prefer to play in teams. LSS hasn’t gone full Battle Royale thankfully, but it would give it some nice variety to play it on different maps.

As others have said I liked the way they did it so I got to play the map a bunch. I’ve played a little BTB and only played it once so far. I want to play it much more in BTB. Has been good to get to know it in LSS I have a great handle on it now and am super comfortable moving around it and the layout. Wouldn’t be the case if the maps were random.
My only criticism would be next time to have it as the only map for 2-3 days, not the whole week. Then on day 3 or 4 introduce one other map. Keeps the variety without making the map too uncommon. Then day 5-6 add another map, then finally add all other maps following week.
I such at Catalyst damn. Need to practice on that map in social a little before I keep stinking up my teams in ranked on it.

They could lock them since they would have no use. Apart from camping in them. I’d recommend threat sensor and dynamo

That’s the case whenever a new game is released. If you want to really learn a map, you could load up custom games. I’d much rather have more variety when playing the same mode.
