Why is it??

Hi,
I was wondering why when HALO: REACH came out when i went into matchmaking it said there was around “900,000 players online”(when it first game out) and HALO 4 only has “170,000 players online”(halo 4 has just come out). Is everyone playing the campaign first?
I just wondered.

BUMP!

I made a thread similar to this one yesterday, I don’t know why either.

It seems like as if Halo is truly losing its players.

Does H4 take in to account people online or people in game?

Probably due to the matchmaking issues we have had.

Alot of people still havent recieved their orders yet and the servers are still having issues. Just give it a week or so.

Possibility A). Not everyone received it yesterday.

Possibility B). They could be doing other things such as campaign we don’t all buy it for multiplayer only.

Possibility C). The release was also around some other big game releases so give it time.

Possibility D). You’re correct in what you say.

Possibility E). Server issues last night may have mixed up the numbers.

Halo Reach came off the back of 3 so everyone loved halo.

Halo 4 is coming off the back of Reach so people got bored of halo.

It could still grow, but i reckon COD sucked up alot of people who got dismayed with reach?

Still, I can’t see 700k+ users playing Custom Games, Forge, and Campaign…

Hopefully the population count is because of the Server issues.

Remember Halo 4 had over a million pre-orders so I doubt there’s a lack of interest in Halo. As said already, quite a lot of people haven’t got their copies, and I’m sure a lot are playing the campaign etc

Exactly over a million preorders. It came out at midnight on Tuesday also, people with day jobs can’t just play all night and during the day etc…
