You can thank the constantly decreasing population for that, but then again why should anyone be surprised by this.
Your connection must suck. I really don’t think number 5 game on Xbox live would have population problems and take a half hour to find a match. Not once has it taken me more than 5 min. to find a match for any playlist.

That list is only based on unique users, not how many players are online at a time. Which does affect matchmaking speed based on how many players are available.

Still though I was up at like 3 in the morning playing the extraction playlist with only around 55 people and it was longer than normal to find people but only like 3 minutes never a half hour.

If it takes anyone nearly 5 minutes to find a match that’s really, really bad. This game should be number 2 on xbox live but alas we got Reach 2 not Halo 4.

I know it shouldn’t take that long but thats only happened to me like 10 times out of the thousands of matches I have played. I’m just saying its still relatively fast to find a match on halo 4.

Never waited 30 minutes but I have had to wait up to 15 minutes before. It’s insane, I mean this game has longer wait times than halo 3!
Halo 4 peaks at 40,000+ while Halo 3 peaks at 3000 give or take.

This is most likely due to tighter the true skill which people were screaming for in Reach, which by the way sets up faster games then Halo 4, even to this day.
Be careful what you wish for, other people might have to live with it.
