Why is it so hard or frustrating to play solo now?

Title.

Random soo players are leaving.

Mostly teams playing now, because they stayed.

Your just facing teams and the more dedicated players more often.

playing solo is hard to found matches …depends on region… an onslaught of better skilled team play…>,<

I think it is because it matches solo players with teams. This was kept to a minimum in Halo 2 and 3.

Less population = More parties

A lower population might explain this game. My service record for comparison. That wasn’t a quit for those who look, but one of the too often disconnects from the dedicated server (which has been happening even more often of late). I’m still floating around 50% win/loss but some of the games are extremely one sided.

This is a team game. If you go into.it solo more than likely you’ll end up on the losing side. Halo have never really been a game where one player can win the game for you (maybe other than swat). And if there is then it’s very very rare and they are prob not ranked right.

Lately I’ve noticed as a solo player that I fill out partied up rosters quite often

Bc this game has no party restrictions for some dumb reason.

So teams of 4 can match a team of randoms and stomp them.

It seems about the same as previous titles to me

Yeah becuase longer search times is always fun.

I solo queue all the time and don’t have this issue. I just know if I am rolling solo I have to play different, I know I can’t count on teammates to help out in certain situations.

Same here. When I do go solo I don’t expect to win, that way I’m not disappointed.

If the game was fun it would have a higher population this making the search times shorter.

See Halo 2/3 for examples of games with high populations and party restrictions in matchmaking.

That’s not true at all. In every past Halo game, I used to always play solo and do just fine, and rarely ever found myself getting dominated by fireteams. It was usually a pretty even fight, no matter what I played, which created a nice, fun gaming experience. But in Halo 5? If you go and play solo (which many of us do by necessity, since none of our friends play this game anymore), you’ll get crushed most of the time.

Halo 5 rewards team play too much, I find. It creates an environment that isn’t friendly for many people who just want to sit down and have a fun, relaxing time.

Just 'cause

It ebbs and flows for me. The last few weeks I’ve actually had a much smoother time playing and I predominately play solo. It’s all a mentality thing.

That is what unranked playlist are for the sit down and relax. Halo has always been a team game so of course it rewards team play. I can’t believe this is even something people are complaining about.

Halo 5 wasn’t made for solo players, 343 has made that very clear.

Do I like it? Not even slightly. It shows they have SO much growing to do.

I feel ya OP. This game is painful to play solo compared to every Halo I’ve played in the past. I’m having a hard time getting into Halo 5 MM.
