Ok so after i saw the demo im still hyped i come check the forums and most of the post are just the usual “ohhh Sprint is in halo infinite its automatically bad” or “it looked disappointing” or heck the halo 5 fans questioning were the hell is thrusters which doesn’t belong in halo at all but i do kinda agree that it kinda looks like i cartoonish halo game but ill take gameplay over visual so im going to question what the hell is wrong with Sprint and whats mostly funny to me is that most of the Bungie Fans are complaining about new features like every bungie fan says that halo 3 is perfect and doesn’t have any flaws but it does the guns in halo 3 feel weak as hell and behave weird and what im going to say next might be biased but my god the FOV in halo 3 is horrible haven’t played halo 2 classic that much but ce is great but the game did not age doesn’t mean it can still be fun but back to infinite can a halo fan that doesn’t criticize 343 for just existing

Halo infinite looks like halo 5
Everybody is entitled to an opinion, even you, and those who oppose yours.
They were never going to satisfy people. They could have made infinite a game like Halo 2 or 3 and people who love those games would still complain.
Its first impressions and I am waiting for a beta before I let myself get really excited.
I wouldn’t describe my take on it as hate, more underwhelmed. Massively so. Watching this trailer after non-stop sessions of Reach through Halo 3 lately, I feel like I have a good sense of gameplay and aesthetic and…this ain’t it.
It looks like it will be a fine shooter, but it doesn’t at all look or feel like a Halo game.
Yeah I don’t understand it really… Quite a few are drawing some big conclusions and seem to think they know the whole game already just from seeing a few minutes of it… Over all I liked what I saw but I didn’t like everything I saw… It’s like that always with Halo for me. But I will save my conclusions and judgement after I actually get to play it.
Because we knew next to nothing about Infinite so once some folks actually saw it they were disappointed. It was schrodingers game, you can’t actually say if it looks good or bad until you actually see it.
But by all means keep complaining about straw-men.

Unfortunately, 343 feels compelled to separate themselves from Bungie, so we’re never going to get something that feels like classic Halo.
The halo community is honestly split one side liking sprint and advanced movement the other liking old movement. I guess they tried to take a lane in the middle and both sides got angry xD
- There’s also the potential reintroduction of bloom (I don’t know if it will be as bad as reach tbh we’ll have to wait and see)
-
Graphics looks different and it sort of gives me a borderlands mixed with halo vibe, I honestly liked them but many do not.
-
All these new weapons and mechanics: the halo community has generally hated large changes and deviations from to halo’s original formula and with all these new weapons its making some people (myself included) nervous for what the multiplayer will look like.
(and that’s about all I can gather)
Because it was 5 years, 500 million dollars and looks like trash.

idk… i think if they hire me in creative, we can get the next one right
Because after five years it was underwhelming. Visually it looks like Halo 5. Weapon sounds are generic. Human guns look generic. Textures look anything but next-gen. Sprint’s in the game so the original Halo formula will continue to not exist. Plenty of reasons off this first impression to dislike what’s been shown.

Well said. Looks more like destiny smashed in with Doom, not halo. Did marketing forced trend chasing again or was it a choice, either way its a concerning clip.
Hopefully things are fixed by release.

Let me rephrase this by saying that I enjoyed what 4 and a lot of 5 had to offer and what we saw today, to me, still looks like a weird direction they’re taking it in…and just, these textures, I mean it really does look like it’s made out of plastic.

I honestly can’t imagine that this pos cost 500 million. If I was Microsoft I’d want to know what the heck all my money went in to.

Might improve since its just a demo
I liked most things, I just didn’t like the brute lego.

I’m sort of stunned by how much this looks like Doom–eeeeespecially that shotgun. Like that looks it fell out of Doom. By the time the demo was well into the gameplay I thought, well, maybe I should get around to buying Eternal now shrugs

I personally enjoy 4 5 not that much i question why say the game will be 100% over a demo its a demo for a reason but the gun models or just weapon model kinda look disappointing as for the open world id say its going to be interesting it has a few issue and the wait time its to see gameplay was very long but can we all just be grateful that we have gameplay i sometimes feel like the bungie halo fans are a cult
Speaking of complains why is Sprint such a huge issue i don’t understand if you dont like Sprint the here a simple solution dont play the halo that have Sprint or dont Sprint at all
