Seriously, why is it so much worse than Bungies older system?!
There was stats out the wazzu, and Soooooooooo much information regarding multiplayer stats, and fileshare, the whole site was a lot easier to navigate too!
This ones more like a Product page than a Community page like Bungie was… and since Waypoint now wont let me render videos and screenshots, and gamestypes and maps… I feel like thats the biggest let down of all… I dont have a capture card system… I dont feel like searching someones map name to find the latest and greatest maps, its like everyplayer is their own isolated little island now instead of a huge family =[
I dont like that you can barely see the navigation bars on the stats pages… I like the onld way better lots of info on the main page just scroll down, flip through heat maps, ext.
I also feel like Halo 4/343/ waypoint dosent want the MLG crowd to take Halo 4 and run with it… seriously 343 reach out to MLG and work something out so the gamebattles/mlg croud (which is huge) can do what they need to do to thrive, so you can thrive!
My last issue is that Halo 4 has become more like Battlefield 3. Alot less arena commeptitive, and alot more natural big open, maps that are fun i enjoy them, but u need to bring back really good/fun small maps too again for the mlg crowd. Guardian, The Pit, ext. They were hardcore classic mlg maps that was always exciting, and I dont really want to see a sad forged rendering of them… oh wait that wont happen either since you cant access fileshares on waypoint for Halo 4…
Because Bungie knew how to make a site that was simplistic, runs on technology from 04, and still look better than this forum in all of its shininess. They’re just better web designers. Plain and simple.
Because Bungie’s site has been around for YEARS, and Waypoint has only been around for a year or two.
But if you took Bungie’s site when it was still two years old, and put it side by side with Waypoint’s, Bungie’s site might be worse or about the same as Waypoint.
Not really. Bungie’s site has not gotten a major update since 2004. This is especially true for the forums. They look much the same as they did 8 years ago.

I used to say this, but I’ve simply floated away from it, the fact Bungie have their website running on 2004 tech as stated above, and the stats still look nicer, function nicer and actually display the correct statistics is a joke.
The Web Team is far more concerned about looks than functionality, nobody wants to access everything in one giant page like Halo Waypoint does, or have things hidden away like Halo Waypoint does.
If I log into Bungie.net right now, I can get to my Halo: Reach Game History in two clicks and the pages load within seconds.
I tried to get onto the Waypoint Reach stats, it still takes two clicks, but takes over a minute to load ONE game, heck, it is probably even longer than that, as I am typing this I’ve been waiting 2-3 minutes for it to load.
The Web Team need to realise people don’t care about how the site looks, as long as they can see statistics like K/D, win to loss, game history and all that other stuff, fast and reliably (both of which Waypoint doesn’t have), then they’ll be happy, looks should be the lowest priority.

I like the shininess of the site, but the fact that it’s so clunky and sluggish defeats it. I’ve been finding myself using HaloTracker a lot more often, now.
Waypoint actually got worse after the last update. It no longer works on my smart phone or tablet, so I can’t post as much.
343 should hire somebody that doesn’t suck at making a website. I agree with everyone here about functionality taking precedence over aesthetics.
Why can I go to Halo council or Halo tracker and experience forums and stats flawlessly on all my devices, yet I come to waypoint and experience a -Yoink- ton of garbage?

Shininess is fine but if “let’s make it look future spacey because halo is future space adventure time” takes precedent and clouds the mind of the importance of “hey lets test this out with objective, 3rd party people to see if it’s easy to navigate”.
Honestly, the use of community members to test a new site is ridiculous (like they did with the Gamma Forums). They’re clearly going to be biased and already know the general way to navigate to stats. If you put the site in front of a non-Halo fan and they can easily navigate to the stats page or find the most recently played game, then you have a good site. I find it highly unlikely that that kind of objective 3rd party user could do that with this site.
