How can MCC be a complete collection if it is missing the newest installment? Plus how wonderful would it be to jump from Halo 2 into 5 then to 3 ext.
I’m just saying sell it as “DLC”, add on whatever you want to call it, i just think it whould look better if it was incorparated into MCC rather than the day 5 came out 343 droping it like a brick.
What exactly would be the point besides completeness sake?
They probably will make a extended Master chief collection in the future which you will buy even though you already have all the other games on the original. They will keep making more and more money for not doing a whole lot more.
having them all in one place would be great. but the biggest reason is to keep MCC around. As crapy as it launch was (and the following weeks) and the fact that it still isn’t really fixed. it feels like 343 wants to push MCC under any rug it can find as soon as possible.
We just got Halo 2 back and for the first time we get to play CE on a consol, and i would like to see them kept around regardless of my feeling on halo 5.
343 is trying to throw the MCC under a rug because it’s launch was such a catastrophe that still hasn’t been fixed. They’re hyping up Halo 5 as much as possible because they want people to forget about the MCC. Also, a large part of the MCC’s purpose was to put old Halo games on the new console. There wouldn’t be much purpose in putting a game designed for the new console in that same collection. I could see them maybe doing a Reclaimer collection in the distant future (for just the Reclaimer trilogy/saga).
And don’t forget that if Halo 5 was just DLC for the MCC (so many abbreviations!), then we wouldn’t be able to matchmaking. Cause you know… MCC’s still kinda broken.
