I’m buying Halo 5 but I’m not pre ordering it look at what happened to Halo MCC…

Was reading an article on ign about game developers having a publish now patch later attitude. It’s sad but buying a game at any point during the release month is not a great idea.

That’s true pre ordering is ruining the game Industrie.
Because, you know, we totally didn’t have practically flawless launches for Super Smash Bros, Shadow of Mordor, GTA 5 Next Gen, and CoD AW. Not to mention all the games that got delayed until next year, like Evolve and Quantum Break because they weren’t done. Yeah, we’ve had a bunch of -Yoink- releases last year, Sonic Boom, AC Unity, and MCC, but nobody was looking forward to Sonic Boom anyway, and it had ridiculously crowded development, AC Unity was by Ubisoft, and let’s face it, they never cared about the consumer, and MCC was part of Halo 5’s marketing campaign that honestly worked really well given that it was put together in a year.
Pre ordering isn’t killing the gaming industry, it’s not even dying in the first place, you tools.

Until we actually see what comes with it, that isn’t really a fair assumption. Granted the statue probably won’t be worth the price… but I’m being a bit optimistic.

It stopped being enough when people were willing to pay more. Every game that comes out has these uber-expensive ultra-super collectors editions that ALWAYS sell out. As a business, your product is worth whatever people are willing to pay for it. Its $260 because people are willing to pay that.
I will not be pre-ordering this one. I go all digital anyway and my internet is fast enough that if i buy it on the day after release, after verifying that everything is working, it will be ready to play well before i get home from work.
if i had the money id get the collectors ed, but ill have to wait until i can save up money

I hope it comes with the full Master Chief Armor that I can wear for that price.
