I was playing a few games of halo 3 last night and it is so much fun, and the ranks give you even more incentive to want to keep playing.
I’m surprised halo 3 is not much more popular than it is right now, especially for the competitive community. Why didn’t the competitive community just stick with halo 3 after reach disappointed a lot of people?
Seriously I’d love to see the halo 3 population pick up again, after playing it last night I’ve realized again how much fun it is (I really like the 4sk BR too).
I had a ton of fun in Halo 3, and gasp Halo Reach as well. I can’t say one game rules over the other. I can’t generate a definitive answer on Halo 4 as I have truly not played it for as long as I have Halo 3 or Reach. I like each game’s MM for different reasons.
People will almost always go to the newest game in the series. Thats just the way it is. I think that Halo 3 is much better than Halo 4, and while I do still play it, Halo 4 is constantly in my tray. I don’t know why though. Its wierd :p.

I gotta admit, I am also guilty of this. I don’t know why though. The new graphics are nice and all that but halo 3 still looks really nice too. I’m thinking about just going back to halo 3 at least until they get some good playlists and the title update out for halo 4.

Well I for one appreciate most of the AAs and new guns, games without sprint feel old/clunky to me anyways.
By the time I was done with the reach beta halo 3 almost seemed retro in terms of mobility and what you as a player were capable of. The ranking system was incredible.ill give it that and reach arena was a slap in the nuts,And that dmr causes me more rage then bubbleshield oddball teams(which was a super effective, super boring little B strategy)
Just my opinion but every halo game had something stupidly broken or overpowering about it, including H4
CE, the pistol, OP
2, button combos, glitch/broken
3, most of the equipment make AAs seem like minor illusions, way overdone
Reach, Armor lock and DMR
4. Dmr, debatably boltshot(I think it’s fine if your not slow in reacting) and the exile gauss hog, prometheans actually managed to bump unsc sniper and rockets down to second grade weapons.
I’ll just stick with the general population, no AL no bubble shields, no button combo insta kill br, and the pistol isn’t an all purpose power weapon.
You can tear apart any game if you really want to, why not just enjoy the ride
The more competitive people I know actually like Halo: Reach more, because it’s more challenging, while lesser players have more fun in Halo 3 and Halo 4…
