I picked it up at a Gamestop in Southern California. So why is half of everything included with it written in French?
The code I redeemed for the game will still work right? It’s not region locked to France or anything?

It’s partially in French because Canada and the US share the same copy. As I’m sure you know, French is spoken in some parts of Canada. Namely Quebec.
It’s like when we get stuff and sometimes it’s in English and Spanish.
So no, you’re fine.
It may be region locked. I wouldn’t risk it.
'cause you a coward like them frenchies.
On a more serious note, this is common practice in the EU, we get things in many different languages, I don’t know about the US though.

We do too in the US depending on what the product is. We usually get stuff in English, English and Spanish, English and French, or English, French, and Spanish.
This is because of Mexico and Canada being close by.
Probably because us Canadians are just North of you guys. I remember seeing many things having French in their product labels the last time I traveled to the States.
I noticed that too. Don’t have a problem with it…except for it being on Locke’s orders from ONI. Having French on the back side makes it feel like a gimmicky prop instead of something from the Halo universe. It ruins the immersion, it makes it look fictional. If that makes any sense

Yea, -Yoink- all the french speaking individuals because my plastic card of orders is not real…
Its a plastic laminated order card, what part of it seemed real? Also, would Locke not has just destroyed such sensitive orders like that, a la Mission Impossible, or is that all well and good for immersion.
The only Halo prop that has ever felt real was Halsey’s Journal from Reach

I mean at the bottom it does say “DO NOT DESTROY>> ACTION COPY>>” so him destroying his orders would be even more fictitious.
