Not only is H4 unpopular the population is rapidly declining.
WHY?

the better question is why are you posting false information?
Least popular was definitely Halo Wars, both critically and financially. It had its proponents (myself included), but it was a very niche title at the end of the day.
I would say that Halo 4’s reception is comparable to Halo: Reach’s in that a bunch of adjustments to the sandbox have proven to strike a sour chord with the fanbase. However, given the more rapid population drop Halo 4 has seen versus Halo: Reach, I would imagine the effect of Halo 4 has been greater than the already incredibly divisive Reach.
Ragethedemon you dont know anything. Just look at the population, its lower than reach was 6 months after released.
i would say halo 4 has its fair amount off glitches but that is the only hate i can give to this game it seems more polished off than reach when that first came out. and dont get me started on ODST and Halo wars them two where horrible in my opinion
GruntyKing117 sorry I dont count ODST or Halo Wars. Only H1 H2 H3 H4 and reach.
sadly I think H4 is a dead game already.
I honestly believe that there are multiple factors that have decreased the population on Halo 4. (Darn you stats class)
The one that everyone wants to point out is that they feel the game sucks, but I have a hard time contributing the declining population to that. Yes, there are a lot of people upset, but I also think there are a lot of people who still really like the game.
I think people forget to factor in the economy.
The fact that the poor teenagers are waiting to get the game from their parents for Christmas is another factor.
The fact that Call of Duty (which is obviously on the rise and is clearly the most popular multiplayer FPS game out there) came out with Black OPS 2 only a week later.
For college students, the semester is coming to an end so people are focused more on school and finals.
Those are some I can think of just on the top of my head. I just feel like we live in a day and age where there is so much more variety offered to us in the gaming and electronic worlds that people are finding other things to occupy their time. It isn’t completely because people think the game sucks.
I agree with ND3STRUCT1BLE as many do wait in till Christmas to get the game id say by the end off this year halo 4 will gain around 10 000 odd people
All the Halo CE and Halo 2 players are growing up now. College, full time jobs, family.
Halo has to start over, capturing NEW fans attracting new players.
Once True Skill Ranks IN GAME, Global Leaderboards, Minor and Major clan matches arrive.
HALO WILL RISE AGAIN
CoD blops2 is more like halo than ever before. the kill times are longer in blops2 than any other cod game ever made.
Game is filled with way to mutch random BS and so many obvious issues that clearly shouldn’t be in the final product. Just the simple fact that we cant tell if players are in a party speaks for itself on how bad it is.
Still underneath it all there is a good Halo just waiting to be released, but by the time that happens it will be to late.
> the better question is why are you posting false information?
its been declining since day one bro. facts are facts.
http://www.halocharts.com/2012/
this site tells you all those stats from day one. Halo is declining in pop there is no doubt about it but yes fall of reach and 343
WHY???
COD WINS THE 13 AND UNDER CHILDREN WHO SPRAY AND PRAY…
HALO WINS THE IQ TEST.
LEAVE IT AT THAT…
OP TROLL
I didn’t know it was the hyperbowl
I forget to buy tickets.
These threads popping up every 5 minutes is getting old. Heck bsn forums are better in this area and they made a children’s fund close its doors to them.
halo player are growing up… everyone is growing up. that does not mean a thing. other games dont have that problem because they stick to there core fan base. halos core fan base is H2 and H3.

But even when the Halo CE/2 players have time to play, they don’t enjoy what Halo has become. Most of my friends fall into this category and they all despise the fact that Halo has incorporated COD aspects into it. Sprint isn’t needed, Loadouts are okay for some playlist, but we should also have the option of playlists that don’t have them, personal ordnance is the biggest joke, it’s a total rip off of care packages from COD and the entire idea of that is a joke as well, rewarding player that are already doing well by giving them things that make them even harder to stop, what sense does that make?
The things you propose aren’t going to help increase the population when people don’t like the game at its core. If Halo wants to see its numbers return, it needs to accommodate the players that were there in the Halo 2/3 glory days. Halo 2 should pretty much be considered the core Halo experience, in other words, when a new Halo game is made, it should be built off of the base of Halo 2. Stick to what works, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it, do the dance that got you there, these sayings are popular for a reason, they’re true!

Meh, I still have SOME free time. I don’t plan on quitting gaming in a long time anyways.
Also I do not care about stat tracking at all.
> But even when the Halo CE/2 players have time to play, they don’t enjoy what Halo has become.
This.
I could go into detail OP but I’ll just be called a “hater” and told to “move on”.

I’d prefer them to work off of a mix of elements of the original series. The health system of CE, the map design of Halo 2, the informed, refined design of Halo 3, and the sound design of Halo: Reach.
Honestly, I wasn’t a big Halo 2 fan. It was riddled with bugs and bizarre design choices. Its balance wasn’t great either. Halo 3 did a good job of balancing the Halo 2-styled sandbox, but I would still keep dual-wielding out of the equation.
cause its bad.
