yet I see everyone act like it is so superior. Is it just nostalgia cause I didn’t notice anythingn major?
if so what is it specifically in comparison to the other br’s that makes it better?

I’m pretty sure its TTK is slightly shorter than the standard BR. It also has a faster reload, faster bring-up animation (Time it takes for you to raise your weapon from switching, meleeing, etc)
But, its mostly just due to nostalgia

ttk in h2br is actually longer than h5br. only thing is has an advantage over h5br is the magnetism is larger and has easier spread for dragging. as well as the previous 2 you mentioned. but if i recall correctly, h5 br advantages outweigh h2.

That, and it has bullet magnetism out the -Yoink-. As it stands it is just too easy to use.

It brings back all the memories. (Especially using it against an elite in Warzone)
Pretty sure it’s the h5 BR with the stronger bullet magnetism but I think it’s easier to get the 4th shot with the H2 BR. (because of the spread) there’s a piece on this out there already, too lazy to look it up tho lol.
H2A BR = You don’t even have to have the reticule on the enemy to deal damage
H5 BR = Faster TTK and better at longer ranges. however it is harder to master, but more rewarding in the end.
It’s alright, but I prefer the BR85.
The main thing that jumps out at me is other than the minor differences in things like magnetism is that the H2 BR has an objectively better scope compared to the standard one. If we are talking pure function there is no reason to choose the one with a chunk of opaque rifle covering the screen as opposed to the one with a clear sight picture with no meaningful obstructions.
Literally the only reason I can think of to use the H5 BR is if you think the aim down sights in Halo 5 is “immersive”, which in itself is laughable since the whole smart-scope concept was originally used to explain why you didn’t need to physically aim down sights to zoom in. Funny how some UNSC tech seems to have gone a step backward.
The H2 BR is simply better, the only reason to use the H5 version is if you happen to prefer the visuals and choose form over function.
tried both…i liked the feel of it when using the h2 br (the sounds and the vibration), just felt more powerful…but apart from that its almost the same as the h5 br imo (with a better zoom than the standard version i guess)
Personally I use longshot/sentinel silenced BRs over h2, and i will even when i do actually unlock my own h2 BR
There’s literally videos about how the H5 BR kills faster. Pretty sure nobody goes out of their way to say it’s objectively superior.
I will say though, feel is important. It looks, sounds, and feels more powerful than the H5 BR, it even has faster reload and switch time I believe, which are two very important factors off the top of my head.
Because it’s the unchanged version of Halo 2’s BR
People say the bullet magnetism is increased, I say opposite since it’s got a smaller reticle. What I really like, gameplay-wise, about it, is it shoots as accurate as a DMR without the extended range.
Also, I like it better because the H2ABR is probably my favourite BR. Now I have the Bracer skin for the H5BR, and I’m starting to question which I like better.
The H3 and OGH2 BRs no longer look good to me.
Memories of halo 2 of course. But to me I feel like its more powerful it seems it docent matter headshot or not it dominates I really hope to unlock it for warzone
The H5 BR has a faster ttk and less magnetism, but oh my god the H2 BR sounds so Yoink good.
It feels like the H2BR has like, no recoil.
I could be wrong but it feels like the shot spread is.less on each burst, so landing all 3 shots is easier. I’ve heard it gets more magnetism but I’m not sure if this just isn’t due to less spread. The scope doesn’t have the range of a sentinel or longshot but this is minor. Usually you won’t need the ridiculous range on those scopes unless you’re a dirty base humper or trying to ninja a boss. All in all I don’t think it is magically superior to any other BR. People just want their toys.

As a few have already said it just feels right. Just like the old H2 BR. The sound to me is the best in the game right now. IMO.
