No it’s not my internet. I play regular Halo and don’t have the same issues. But the lag in griffball is horrendous.
It might not be lag, at least my Grifball matches don’t feel noticeably laggy.
It could just be the weirdly inconsistent physics and mechanics they’ve given the Gravity Hammer.

Ya I think the problem is it’s all of the above. I’ve played it enough to know the ins and outs of the gravity hammer and sword. It’s more than that.
