Why is it always low? It’s always from 10 or 30 ppl and that’s it. While the team slayer one always goes up to 200 peeps. But why is firefight always the one with the lowest populated one? Doesn’t everybody at least want to try something different instead of playing team slayer all the time? I don’t hate team slayer but I usually get bored of playing it all the time so I try to play something new, like Firefight.
Everybody has their own preferences. Many players just like to kill opposing players.
Between 10th years of halo reach the fan living the game for the new
Depends when you start playing. Also greatly depends on daily and weekly challenges. Ive seen it up to 400, while right now, its 18.
The game is was released in 2010, you’re seriously asking why the Population for Firefight is low?

Yep. So you gotta go on during prime time, or when the challenges change, which i think is 11:10 p.m. eastern us time.
sometimes i just want to play firefight to finish challenges but i cant find any game although there is 54 players inside the lobby

Yep, this person is right. They mostly be chilling with friends in matchmaking or custom games. Sometimes other halo games
It depends. Sometimes it’s just the time you get on and the region you live in. Also, sometimes the population counter can be bugged. There have been times where I have went to played SWAT and the counter said “0” and there were actually a couple of hundred players on at the time.
Cause you could die easily
There’s a free play weekend this month 10/27-10/30. During the last free play weekend in May, I think the multiplayer population increased noticeably with non-Gold players passing through.
EDIT: There is no free play weekend this month. For some reason, Xbox Live recently sent me a message for the 10/27/2016 free play weekend and I thought it was for this year. And this is right after experiencing the Microsoft Rewards’ debacle of the buggy Points Crusader game earlier this month. Microsoft: still unbelievably sloppy after all these years.
Game is 8 years old. So close to a decade it wouldn’t be normal for the game to still have thousands of people playing it

Firefight, as a general rule, seems to be used to grind cR. People have their ideal Spartans so once they have purchased everything they wanted they have less of an incentive to revisit Firefight. Halo: Reach also came out almost a decade ago so, naturally, most people have either made all of the progress they desired and are only playing for fun or they moved on to other games.

Well, several matters contributed to this, including:
- Removal of Firefight Doubles (Where you and one other person play Firefight variants), as playing with a good friend was fun in this or teaching a new player how to play before it was removed. Now the only way to essentially get the same result is to tag up with a friend, goto Anniversary Firefight, and set the search settings to the most strict, which 95% of the time works and allows you and a friend to essentially play Firefight Doubles while being limited to the map Installation 04. - Trolling and Overly Aggressive teammates. This is self explanatory. Instead of trying to use different loadouts and making a fun challenge for one’s self trying to survive (I for example choose the Operator Loadout by default in Arcadefight), you’ll typically find that your three teammates all go for the Fuel Rod Cannon loadout and spam everything with so much green that due to friendly fire being off, they will spam you with it as well, blinding your screen with green to the point where it gives you a migrane. Then if you play smart and choose the Sniper Loadout and outshoot them, then their poor sportsmanship shows when the other three players just spam only you with their Fuel Rod Cannons for the rest of the game because you were doing better than them, trying to make sure you can’t see what you are shooting at. Then on maps where vehicles are present, like Beachhead, teammates tend to grab them to betray you via splatter whenever you are ahead of them in points, knowing that doing so with a vehicle will not prompt a betrayal boot. - People voting for the same maps. This is also self-explanatory. Instead of voting for maps that may occasionally pose a challenge like Waterfront and Glacier, you will find people nine times out of ten will vote for either Beachhead or Corvette and nothing else. So going into the playlist without friends usually has this result. - AFK/AFC/Idling Teammates. Basically those teammates that join up, get one kill so the automated banhammer doesn’t consider them a DNF(Did not Finish) and then idles the rest of the game in some iteration, whether it be standing still, jumping in place, or spinning around. You know people who cheat the system that actually don’t contribute to the game to boost cR.These are all contibuting factors, and it’s nowhere near as bad as the hijacked trainwreck that is Grifball, but it’s bad enough to make me not want to play it without friends. I’m sure alot of other players can agree with some of these factors as well.
