Cause the game is forcing us to play Fiesta and the weapon spawns are so inconstant and not “random” Who spawn someone with two rockets, die, then spawn again with sword and gravity hammer, die and spawn with plasma carbine and assault rifle. These combos are dog s*** annoying like iTunes early day shuffle.
each human weapon in h3 had a covenant counterpart, be same cant be said about INF
I spawned with a pulse carbine and a ravager. This game hates me.
Grappleshot + Mêlée , nothing else to say .
With how low range move sensor are, you are already dead before you even notice them
Seriously, last fiesta i did was 11 death … 9 of them was Spiderman that I had no chance to counter because no weapon got fast enough TTK (except Spnkr or doing lucky snapshot with sniper) to kill someone who cross 24m per seconds
With higher move sensor i would had a chance because I could atleast land extra shot or a grenade.
For me infinite forsure has the worst fiesta because there is not a lot of weapons in the game to begin with. That’s why H5 fiesta was so fun. H5 had so much variety with weapons. Also in infinite the sword and gravity hammer are the most common weapons to spawn with and there is no classic shotgun or any way to counter them. Especially if a sword player has grapple, there isn’t much you can do.
Small maps, no random grenades, rng will end up giving you low tier weapons too much of the time. Gadgets being handed out like candy make it much more of a sweatfest when every enemy has power weapons and can chase you down immediately. And of course poor matchmaking balance makes these problems feel even more apparent.
All of the above, combined with the desync and hit registration problems. I had a match today where I literally watched an enemy jump off the top level and shoot a bulldog at the ground 20 ft away thinking “What the heck is this guy doing?” until I just randomly died.
In addition to some weapons also being so bad they fail as utility weapons.
Could be “fixed” if they randomised your weapons after a set period of time. Would stop one side dominating by hogging the swords/axes and grapples.
i’ll be blunt, IMO these are the worst weapons halo has ever had. i’d rather have the sandbox from CE
Disagree, CE is the most unbalanced sandbox to date with large dominance by a single weapon you are spawned with. It’s not even to the level of the BR of the original trilogy, the CE pistol beat all and every single weapon save the Sniper rifle and Rocket Launcher.
If I would port a sandbox over to Infinite, I’ll port Halo 3’s.
Snipers - responsive
Hammers and Swords - good registration and lunge range as well as speedy animations
auto weapons - have a place and are weak enough to be swapped out but strong enough to beat CQC
BR - leading enforces skill
Grenades - have a noticable delay between nades so nade spamming is kept low
i like 4’s too (dont hate me), burst firing the saw on someone’s face was a very satisfying way to melt
CE was very balanced if your party host knew to set it for M6D starts. Sniper, Rocket, and Shotgun were all very viable options in M6D starts and Vehicles were fun to fight over. CE with Default on certain maps (no M6D starts) was very unbalanced because power weapons would dominate. Most tourneys set it to M6D starts cause it was balanced.
Halo 2 was far more unbalanced even with BR starts where Vehicles dominated. Single-wielded weapons like SMG, M6C, Needler, and Plasma Rifle were all inferior weapons to CE’s versions.
, and don’t get me started with the overpower problems with the H2 Plasma Pistol and Sword.
You literally just described a single weapon dominant sandbox which is the definition of unbalanced. Weapons aren’t balanced against power weapons, power weapons are a class on its own hence the name power weapons. You can’t say something is balanced when you compare them to power weapons in terms of strength.
The pistol being overly domineering to the point it could challenge even power weapons is just a massive sign of unbalance because power weapons are designed to be more powerful for the sake of providing players an incentive to claim it for their advantage. Pistol was so powerful that literally everything was pointless to swap for it, even some power weapons like Flamethrower, Fuelrod and in some rare cases, the Rocket launcher.
That’s just how overpowered the pistol was. 3 shots and you’re dead. Balanced my butt.
Having Power weapons overpower the starting weapon is the definition of unbalanced. The entire point of Arena shooters like Halo is to create unbalance to drive map movement. But, if you make it too unbalanced (ie SMG starts on Halo 2 or PP starts in CE) then you create what you describe which is an unbalanced experience where both Power weapons and middle-ranged weapons which you can pick up on the map overpower what you start with.
Sniper starts is a very balanced game mode, if you get what I mean. Therefore, M6D starts was very balanced, and probably why the game was so loved.-Shotguns dominated close range, Rockets dominated middle range, and Snipers could dominate while also giving the player a fighting chance. So, yeah, M6D starts were very balanced toward Power weapons and Power-ups.
Spot on for sure! It truly needs to just let go and let the fun roll on classicly.
The Saw in H4 was absolutely money!
No coils on map. Fiesta is best for me on Launch Site because if I get a bad weapon spawn I can just grab a coil and try to kill some with that. Then take their guns.
Coils are cool sometimes but I also wish you could choose to have a map without them. An item that can instakill with a massive throwing range and little accuracy needed, and area damage for a few seconds afterwards is a bit OP especially in maps that have a lot of them like the launch base.
Fiesta is annoying for a few reasons in this game.
-
The Weapons Sandbox of Infinite is somewhat weaker than the previous titles. The Stalker Rifle is great, but it is no Covenant Carbine. The Commando Rifle is outclassed by The AR, BR, and Sidekick when it comes to close and mid-range engagements.
-
The Fiesta game all too often gives you low tier weapons and like iTunes and Spotify, the shuffle program needs to improve the RNG to make it feel more random instead of having consistency within the randomness. Instead of getting a Bell Curve chance, it needs to be something far more thought out and balanced. Also far too often the Sword is in play.
-
Cross-Play makes it a headache for both PC and Console players, as someone with an accuracy weapon using M&K will make much more use out of the Stalker Rifle or Sniper Rifle than someone using an Xbox controller. Meanwhile PC players would be frustrated with close-mid engagements by aim-assist settings that we Console players can have as an option.

SUPER-FIESTA isn’t in the game to spice things up.
