Why is Fiesta so Annoying in This Game?

not the equipment, they’re pretty good in fiesta… maps? i mean, h5 had 1 lane maps and that was still fun… grenades? that’s never been an issue, though the lack of rng grenades in a rng mode is certainly bothering… vehicles? eh, not really either… weapons ballancing? you’d think that shouldn’t be an issue. h5’s weapons were faaar from ballanced, and that was still fun… i personaly think it’s the servers. i mean, the amount of times i’ve shot a rocket point blank at someone, hammered someone point blank, etc… and they didn’t die. or long ranging when i shouldn’t be able to, is simply uncountable… inconsistent weapons because of desync for me is why fiesta is infuriating

It can be a drag when one side eventually is loaded with grapple and sword combos… so here’s an idea.

Since Fiesta is meant to be random chaos, how about weapons changing up every 30 seconds and any dropped weapons spawn out?

I’ve killed sword weilders with the needler trying to grapple to me…

i honestly think its the small weapon pool.

To be honest, I think it’s the weapons. Fiesta made me realise just how terrible some of the weapons are and that if someone has a sword, you may as well put the controller down for a bit because 8 times out of 10 whatever you have won’t be a decent counter weapon because of how close quarters the maps are. The only map where having the sword is a liability is Behemoth.

I just hate behemoth or whatever its called. Its too open and why the hell can a team spawn with a tank…

Seriously if the enemy get a tank or all rsnged weapons whats the point lol

Agreed. I get saddled with a plasma pistol and ravager so often. And why does the cinder shot spawn so much?

I know it’s supposed to be random, but if I don’t get the rocket launcher at least three times in one match, then it’s automatically rigged, in my mind :joy:

The weapon pool is small and this game is designed around the challneg system so he’s ily that it feels like a chore to play gamemodes now.

Fiesta is not for the feint of heart. You have to be supper comfortable with your controllers scheme and if you’re not then fiesta and ffa is the place to be. It is really the place where you’re exposed to everything and can exploit anything available. Spam down on d pad you will get better from that tip alone in fiesta

It’s that sword/hammer + grapple is basically an easy win if your decent.

Rockets are okay but blast radius sucks and kill time is tiny in this game so good luck weapon switching to finish off the guy rockets didn’t kill.

Skewer/sniper/shock rifle can do work but most of the maps don’t see to allow them to dominate ever, enemies are just running/sliding/grappling everywhere.

Drop shield sucks and threat sensor doesn’t really do much than deny position for a few seconds. Thruster is good, repulser can be good in right situations. Grapple is so flexible it’s easily the best.

All weapons are situational of course but it seems like situations where sword and hammer dominate are plentiful compared to the rest.

There is zero counter to melee weapons in this game. Can’t even shoot a sword enemy at point blank with a shotgun anymore which will bring outrage to the grifball and infection communities if they ever actually release those gametypes.

Good for you, that’s a one in a hundred chance

Down on the d pad drops my weapon on the ground

getting shot by rockets, hammer and/or cindershot in this game is super annoying and it happens frequently in fiesta.

Halo Infinite weapon pool: 23
Halo 3 weapon pool: 18

It’s the number of items found on the map coupled with the low despawn rates. Enemy teams with swords, hammers, cinder shots and rockets and nothing else whilst the other team spawn with manglers and plasma pistols

I think he means flashlight lol
But actually though he means scan

Do you think the reason why they give you two of the same kind of weapon is to see which one is used the most?

I came to say the exact same thing.

Small congested maps, lacking a variety of floor heights and alternate routes, causing high traffic between players. Classic Halo maps had usually at least 3 floors of height and a bunch of branching paths, but Infinite maps have 3 paths to choose and only 1 and 1/2 floors of height, since 343 loves open bridge areas right above ground, instead of separate closed off rooms of height. All the fighting takes place on the same ground level, and in the same handful of areas. I hate their obsession with generic Arena maps

A lack of weapon diversity, which could be resolved by adding all the Campaign weapons also found in Offline Customs to Fiesta, making you more likely to get an interesting weapon, but maybe not the best weapon variant

Challenges for specific tasks that make Fiesta a stressful chore, instead of a fun party mode. I don’t want to get 15 kills with an AR or Sidekick in Fiesta, or end 5 killing sprees. These challenges make people pissed off instead of have fun
