Seriously. I don’t want to spend my entire night trying to complete challenges for progression, battle pass, or these lame events.

Yep. People have been overwhelmingly asking them for regular performance based progression since release. But they are stubborn, and prefer to wait until the game is dead before making changes.

Because if you progressed by just playing the game, then you would unlock the pass to quickly. And they want to keep those player numbers up every event by having people grind for the stuff.
Nothing stopping you from not playing the event, but instead playing what you want to play. Well, outside of the issue with BTB that is…
Just ignore the event then and have fun.
It’s padded playtime becase 343 didn’t offer diddly squat in terms of content. It’s why I haven’t and never will buy a lame BP, mainly because they are a pure waste of time, and in no way does this give me incentive to even think about buying from the shop.
What I want to see is this game to get out of this stupid beta mode and this company to put in that actual action from all those “promises” they made. What gets me is, they lied to the player base about the customization, and then from what I understand they made a Tweet about having to come up with a way for players to earn credit, basically admitting they lied.
This company has become a compulsive liar and has shown their words hold no value at all.

I bought the battlepass before actually looking into any of the forums or any of the content myself. Definitely disappointed with the content of course, but what’s worse is that i cant even earn credits ro pay for the next BP – if i wanted it

I personally don’t mind having challenges tied to the events, but event related challenges need their own separate section rather than being thrown into the weekly ones.

I’ve never even bought one for any game. I was considering it with infinite until I started reading up on things.
For me, even though it’s only $10 that is nothing, it’s knowing how how 343 has gone about all this that makes it so pointless.
The fortnite battle pass is 100% worth if you play a decent amount. But that game literally has the best customization, content, and shop ever
Speaking of other games though. Idk how the f##k 343 can look at games like fortnite, warzone, apex, or anything else with microtransactions, and think the infinite shop/BP is ok… they cant seriously be that stupid right??
It’s quite the opposite.
In spite of how anyone feels about the shop, and I hate to say this but it was a smart move to make that quick cash. But, it was a dumb move basing the game around it.
Eventually a lot of players will catch on that in terms of content, 343 doesn’t have jack s*** to offer.
