Why is everyone so mad?

People are already declaring their hate for Halo 4 and saying how they won’t buy it. Why…?

Sure, a perks system doesn’t really sound all that great, but just keep in mind “perk” was not a word used by 343i.

As for armor abilities, they really haven’t even been confirmed. When Frankie was asked to elaborate on if sprint was mandated or still optional he couldn’t say. Why keep it a secret if AAs haven’t been changed in some way, shape, or form?

I don’t understand why we can’t focus on the positives. The game looks so great, it managed to one up both Reach and Anniversary and can now compete with games like Crysis and Battlefield.

Almost all the bad changes in Reach are gone. Regenerating health is back, no more straight from Campaign MM maps, no bloom, increased player speed and jump height, and the BR is back!

Plus the fact that the game actually looks like Halo now instead of try hard realistic Reach!

Why can’t we celebrate these awesome changes and innovations 343i is doing to put Halo back on top?

Wait until you get the game to decide if you like it or not. For now enjoy that we got an epic trailer!

Thanks for staying positive and not hating!

I don’t like certain design choices they made, like Chief’s armor and the BR. That and confirmation that the Covenant are returning as an enemy force is pretty bad news to me.

They both look great to me. Not so sure about the square scope, but they are reinventing the series. I think it’s all good.

Also, I don’t believe the Covenant will be a main force in the conflict. It would just be kind of weird not to have them in the game in some small part.

Ok I think it’s ridiculous that people REALLY ARE HURT by the aesthetics. Gameplay I can understand, but come on now. Just be lucky we did’t get CoD graphics and Halo Reach’s Chief model.

Oh I know they won’t be the main force, but the fact they are still around is what bugs me. Seems to me 343 aren’t quite sure how well their new enemy will be, so they have the Covenant around as a “sure thing”. Frankly, I would’ve loved to spend the whole game fighting the new enemy and whatever the Forerunners left on the Legendary Planet. With the end of Halo 3, I was pretty sure the Covenant was effectively over. The novels pretty much added to that notion.

Guess not.

It’s hard to get excited about a BR when you have a Perk and Unlock system staring you down, along with his buddies Armor Abilities and Customizable Loadouts ready to kick your -Yoink-.

The bad outweighs the good in this instance. Sure, there was some good news…But then they go and kick our teeth in with all this horrible stuff.

I just don’t get it.

If there is a BR, I’ll be buying it, no matter what anyone says… well, except my mom since she’ll be paying 8)

Having the Covenant returning gives me mixed feelings. I’ve always enjoyed the covenant enemies, especially the Grunts…for comedic purposes, but I really want some new enemies.

As well my biggest concern is armour choices. I really enjoyed making my spartan my own. Fine in MP we’re not the Chief and instead are Spartan IV’s, but let me unlock and use different pieces of armour.

I love your GT.

Carry on.

Hers why i’m disappointed with the game so far:

No beta
sprint
perks
armor enhancements
random weapon spawns
no confirmation of wheter the 1-50 ranking system will be back

As it stand this will be the first halo game i don’t buy. it will be a rental first. 343 just doesn’t seem to get that these gimmicks are the reason why Halo reach is practically dead

I think the Covenant is still there because it would be awkward to drop them completely out of the game.

I think you need to reevaluate your definition of “everyone.”

Like I said, perks and customizable loadouts are words everyone else is using to describe these features we haven’t seen. There is most likely some failed communication here between 343i and the media.

Why people are mad:

Perks
Sprint
EXP-based unlock system

or it would make too much sense

> I think you need to reevaluate your definition of “everyone.”

Well, I obviously didn’t mean everyone. It seems the community is split…

> If there is a BR, I’ll be buying it, no matter what anyone says… well, except my mom since she’ll be paying 8)

there is a BR in the new video

> Why people are mad:

343i did not say this. The media said this.

Sprint I can understand, but the rest, we have no idea what those features are like.

> I don’t like certain design choices they made, like Chief’s armor and the BR. That and confirmation that the Covenant are returning as an enemy force is pretty bad news to me.

I agree. The new Chief design is growing on me but I still am a bit annoyed that they decided that new Mjolnir was necessary, and I still am not keen on those Gundam Wing style rocket packs. Was it really something that needed changing? Or is it simply that 343i have security issues and feel they need to stamp their presence on Halo regardless of what they are changing?

BR looks very strange to me and not just because of the scope. To me it looks like a toy gun for kids.

I have quite mixed feelings about this trailer… On one hand I am excited by a new Halo game, and on the other hand I am perplexed by unnecessary aesthetic and artistic direction changes. Whats with all the anime mecha?

Wait what where did they say the covenant are coming back. Can you give me a source thanks
