Why is everyone Hate Halo 4 so Much?

People need too stop hating on halo so everyone says they want halo back too how halo 3 was then go play it now i love halo 3 and 2 and 1 but they need too look too the future and not keep it the same bungie abandoned it and you wouldn’t even have a halo game if it wasent for 343 maybe there not perfect but the reason i don’t play call of duty anymore is because its the same they havent changed much since cod 4 and yes Ive played all cods and i traded my black ops 2 away cause i didn’t like it mw3 is the only 1 i liked after that one it all went too -Yoink- with BO2 but that not the point halo has evolved yes i have problems with it too but its not gonna be a perfect game my only real issue is there’s not enough gametypes thats it other then that i love this game if you dont like it get rid of it thats how simple it is you keep saying Halo stole ideas from COD do you how many comanys get ideas from other companys deal with it as long as it makes a game better who cares halo will always be better then COD thats just my opinion though

The level of hate Halo 4 gets is no different than any other Halo game. Each game that has been released received it’s own level of hate for multiple reasons.

Halo 3 and Reach got tons of hate for it’s MM experience when it was the game to play. I didn’t play Halo 2 online but I heard about how glitchy and inconsistent it was, now today everyone praises the game like it was the ultimate experience.

Stopped reading there.

Sure forums gave flack to all halo games post CE. However in halo 2 and 3 people still enjoyed playing the game like it was a drug. People may have been frustrated at certain features but everyone who was playing those games loved it to its core. Halo 4 i know many long term halo fans who have stopped playing completely.

Halo 2 was revolutionary, it may have had glitches but no other console online game could even compete with its experience. Even when the 360 first launched halo 2 had a population which was massive.

They don’t people that enjoy the game are mostly playing it and don’t bother coming onto the forums to much. The majority of people that come to these forums are cry babies who can’t get there own way or just aren’t as good at Halo 4 as past games, so therefore must blame 343 and the game rather than themselves.

Of course there are issues with game that could use some tweaking, fixing but overall it is a fantastic game. What the game needs to fix these problems is people to come on here and discuss them in a constructive manner not f’ing and blinding all over the place, like most people do here because they somehow think this will help get them get there way and make people care about what they have to say. When really they just make the selves look like childish spoilt little brats.

I dont hate Halo 4 like many others

Yeah and it only got away with because it was revolutionary for it’s time for being one of the first console games online that was good, but lets face facts if had been released today it would never have got away with it and been slated to hell Halo probably would have ended there and then. The only reason Halo 4 is hated so much is because of the advances of technology and everyone expects perfection now days which you just can’t get because you cannot cater to everybodies likes/dislikes.

Halo 4 is catching a lot of hate because it’s casting out a lot of fans. Even a lot of the fans who did stick around are still unsatisfied with the game. To say that it is on the same level of hate as other Halo games is ignorant. I don’t blame 343 for the game being sub-par, as it is their first REAL game. There are many things I feel they could have done differently though. For one, what does Josh Holmes even do? I’ve been following the growth of console game development for years, and never has I seen such silence from a Creative Director. I doubt he even has a forum username.

I only have “hate” for Halo 4 because I know it can be better. I don’t leave like the others I know, because I feel it will get better. There’s no reason to exclude custom game options. I understand why there is no team doubles with only huge maps, but why not include variety at launch? A lot of the textbook mistakes 343 made are easily fixable, but the full game itself has so much behind the scenes that it takes time. Gamers typically aren’t patient. Go online right now, and see the population minimal like this. Yes, I understand what time it is, but that didn’t affect other Halo titles nearly as much.

I for one, will stick around and see how this game plays out. Everyone deserves a second chance, so I’m holding out that 343 will do the community proud. There is plenty that can be done to please most aspects of the community. I will continue to make videos. I will continue to follow cannon. I will continue to play this game until 343 dubs it finished. Then, if Halo 5 is not acceptable, after the first title update of course, only then will I depart Halo multiplayer.

I massively enjoy Halo 4. I have played all the Halo games multiplayer since Halo CE. I like the way that the Halo series always likes to change things up.

Personally I wasn’t a big fan on dual wield but it was’t too bad. However I like how so many people complain about DMR being over powered when you look at the glorious Halo CE pistol and the BR of Halo 2.

It was just rediculous how powerful that pistol was but we loved it all the same.
Then in Halo 2 it was like if you didn’t have the BR or dual SMG’s you were screwed. Oh the rage, but it was good fun though.

Halo 3 had quite a nicely balanced set of weapons but honestly the spiker was a joke. I remember the times were if you saw a guy with the spiker you would instantly call out “Noob” to your friends and spend the whole match killing them.

ODST was fun as well if a little short. However firefight made up for a lot of the lost time. The only thing I disliked was the fact that so many players after it got released were coming on Halo 3 multiplayer and hadn’t even played the Halo 3 campaign.

Then Halo Reach came and the story was really good however it did conflict with some of the cannon (thank god it has been resolved now). It was funny that people complained about the bloom in Halo reach when bloom had actually been implemented in Halo 3 as well it was just that it wasn’t visually shown on the screen.

The matchmaking was fun for me and I also thought that the forge mode was spectacular if a little grey.

Then comes the big one Halo 4. There are very few complaints that I have with this game. I really like the matchmaking as well, it has been a good bit of fun to use such a lovely sounding sniper. Thing was that Halo 2’s multiplayer wasn’t spectacular out of the box but it became so and it really grew on you. Now I don’t think Halo 4’s multiplayer was fantastic out of the box but it has been better than the way Halo 2 started.

The forge in Halo 4 is not as bad as people say it is however it does need refinement because some of the mechanics used in it don’t work that well and I’m not sure why precision editing was taken out. However I think the reason might be that the 360 just can’t take much more. We really need a new console and one is supposedly coming this year.

The campaign of Halo 4 however is just up there with CE. The sense that I got from CE actually came back to me in Halo 4. It was a wonderful experience. I loved every bit of it.

I remember when everyone said that they were leaving the Halo series because of the famous Halo 2 ending. To be honest it wasn’t that great but more hate was given to Halo 2 for it’s ending than a lot of people think.

So don’t worry about the Haters and there will probably be someone to come here and take quotes out of my post and rebuke them or call me an idiot. I say let them. They are the ones with the problem, not me. I’m just going to enjoy a game that I love and I won’t let the opinions of others decide for me whether I like this game or not because to be honest I can’t stop playing it.

Lots of people love Halo 4 and another thing that people don’t realise that talk about low online populations is that many of the Halo audience has grown up. They have jobs and other things more important than just playing online. Life gets in the way and some people can only get in 2 or maybe 1 night a week.

Anyway I wish you well and I hope that you don’t let other people ruin this game for you.

I played CE/Halo3 and Halo:Reach online ALOT and loved it! I don’t flame on people who say that they did not play Halo CE online now do i?

I started competitieve play on Halo CE, i loved it, And going to Halo 2 only made me sad, because of the nerds. In halo 3 i was the nerd because i started playing that since the beginning.

Side note: Overall the Halo 2 players chased away alot of the population, since halo 2 they have never been satisfied, And i think thats the reason why i did not like Halo 2, i just was not satisfied.
