I don’t get why everybody is so upset about this game being $60 at launch. It’s not like we are never going to get forge or co-op. People pay $60 every year for sports games that are practically the same. So what’s the big deal?
I think its silly too but to play devils advocate, the main argument is that before, you paid 60 for SP and MP. Now your paying 60 just for SP so the question becomes, why is this SP technically worth more than the others. This question is fair, but its something people are gonna ask and ask until the game releases and the breath of the campaign is fully shown
before everybody was forced to pay $60 at release, now you have the option. Much less value basically.
I honestly suspect it’ll just mean tons of people getting Gamepass to play it, don’t imagine too many people actually paying the full $60.
People really like to complain
When you think about all the time and hard work put into making a game, it’s worth it. Some people just like complaining and picking negatively at things.
I’ll still be playing Infinite for years, so worth every penny.
Most games that don’t have mp, but have online co-op are priced the same, co-op is coming to Infinite 3 months after release, so that shouldn’t even effect the price as it will be there, along with alot of other updates that will come
I’m not complaining… but then again I have GamePass.
But then there will be some sort of way overpriced collector’s edition that I will probably buy even though I have finished the game on GamePass.
The only person left complaining is my wife.
It mostly just comes down to the multiplayer now being free to play. Given that the previous campaigns are typically only 5-8 hours long they usually don’t have the same amount of content in them compared to all the other single player games one would expect. However based on what we’ve seen from that last campaign trailer which showed off a ton of mechanics and more of how the open world operates I think its becoming easier to accept that this game will probably be massive and well worth the price tag.
Because you are objectively getting less for your money than you did before and if you also want to play multiplayer you also have to deal with manipulative F2P garbage. Its the worst of both worlds in terms of monetization. What other games are charging is completely irrelevant because we are talking about Halo and the set of expectations that come with it. It also doesn’t matter if core features like co-op will be coming “eventually” when they are charging full price for the game without it right now.
This isn’t that complicated. But by all means keep framing any complaints about the game’s business model as “whining” in defense of corporate avarice.
On paper we are paying 60$ for half the game and the other half is free to everyone. Then on top of that its going to be missing features. But they’ve shown that they’ve been crunching.
So I think its these modern day triple A games its less about game and more about the next new thing in graphics and mechanics. They make a deadline that would have worked in 2010. But have twice the work to keep up with new technology.
Then they show a teaser trailer like 3 or 4 years before the game is even a thought. Then wonder why people are mad its missing so many of the features the previous one had.

on the other hand you have BF2042, which is MP-only and costs 70/80 bucks depending on the region
yet no ones bats an eye. the question is definitely not fair.
we’ve been paying 60 bucks for SP only games for over at least two decades, this is no different just because “Halo” is written on the cover.
I wouldn’t say whining. They are being emotionally skeptic which is fine. It’s their opinion.
my only conern personally is that if I can play this game offline. It’s said to be a live game and thay maybe suggests it’s always connected? . I hope not because after the 10 year plan who knows what will happen. I like to play Halo single player campaign and can with all of them so far but we really dont know with this one. So many servers get shut down and you can’t play anymore. Love xbox and all that goes with it like being online with games but not at the expense of playing the single player content in the future. Hopefully the model isn’t like that of Destiny which both requires always online but also I’ve read has content removed. Fingers crossed
Ok ok just imagine a cheeseburger that has beef cheese and buns and it costs $1.99 then you remove the cheese should the burger still cost $1.99? Im not saying its not worth it but i am concerned if it has enough content to be $60. (also dont say multiplayer is free so it doesn’t matter because they still get the same amount of money for just the campaign)
Anyones that buys sports games like fifa and madden every year are literally wasting their money.

Let’s say you remove the cheese yet up the quality of the burger and the weight of it. The cheese can still be added free of charge but you just have to ask for it. Your analogy ignores the actuality of F2P multiplayer.

thats assuming more quality and weight exists mate, lets not do hypotheticals. Im not saying it does or it doesn’t have the quality and weight but everyone needs to understand we dont know if its worth $60 or not. people have a right to be concerned but its fine if your not. just because the multiplayer is F2P doesn’t mean the game should still be $60 tho.
There’s a difference between complaining for the sake of doing so and complaining with objective reasons. Not seeing major features be a part of a game on launch is a red flag for many. I’m not suggesting the game will definitely be bad by any stretch (I think it looks pretty sweet), but I’m at least concerned about what else may or may not be included or work properly when the game launches. The point here is also that people don’t want to pay for features that may eventually come; they want to pay for the full game on launch.

I am concerned about the Halo Infinite campaign levels price on Steam. I was hoping that the game will have a same price like the Halo Master Chief Collection have on Steam. I think the Halo Master Chief Collection price is around $49 on Steam. That is what I was hoping for the Halo Infinite campaign levels price on Steam. But, the price is $79 instead. Okay, let me say this again. Does this ruin my excitement for the new Halo video game? No, it does not ruin my excitement. I am still looking forward to see Halo Infinite coming out on December 2021. It just that the Halo Infinite price concerns me.

Let’s not do hypotheticals? It literally is the biggest Halo game to date and that has already been confirmed. I never stated people don’t have a right to have an opinion. You used the poor analogy to begin with lol. The campaign is going to be a live service and people weirdly enough forget this when bringing up this $60 campaign gripe.

whoa, calm down. The biggest halo game to date literally just means bigger map since its a open world game. Notice how they didnt say the longest. You can insult my analogy all you want but you cant just add “more quality and weight” when you have no idea if that’s true. Just because its live service does not mean the campaign will be getting attention but id expect halo multiplayer to be live service since its free and has cosmetics. do you think halo should be sold for $60 when it doesn’t have co-op, forge, or any other pve aspect at launch(that’s confirmed)? Idk about you but when a game releases I DO NOT want the content that I want in a halo game in the future. It should be at launch. Im happy that the multiplayer is free but (and you dont seem to understand) this is the first campaign to be separate from multiplayer so people can be skeptical. Noone knows so once again people can be concerned with the price until it launches and gets reviewed. Thats all I am saying. Im personally gonna play it day 1 because i love halo but stop saying since a free multiplayer exists the price doesnt matter since you get everything. In short, The multiplayer is free and the campaign is $60 so the campaign should offer $60 worth of content. I thought this was obvious.

Confirmed by whom?
By 343?
They literally said the exact same thing about H5G, yet it has the shortest campaign of the franchise. It’s even shorter than ODST, which was a standalone DLC, and it might be even shorter than the mobile games.
