I think it is because off the new Mantis trailer. The Mantis (Mech) was T-Bagging an killed enemy in the end.
The thing is: it was an official trailer. And this kinda breaks borders between fanbase and official guys.
I don’t care about T-Bag; but in a way I don’t want to see T-Bag in an official Gametrailer for Halo 4. It is a bit different than player do this… I think 343 Industries should show more “responsibility” than Bungie did.

I consider teabagging to be rather immature. When I’m with friends in customs and we can all laugh about it, it’s fine, but in matchmaking it’s generally just a silly “Lololol u sux” from whoever did it.
It’s also really stupid. I’ve seen people get killed because they were too busy having fun with my dead body. It leaves you vulnerable and is generally just unwise.

343i consists of Halo fans, so I don’t see a problem with it at all.

Why are you so uptight? You don’t like a little humor from a game developer? It’s not like they showed a cutscene from the campaign where the MC teabags the Didact. . . now as much as I’d like to see that, I can understand your apprehension about it appearing in campaign cutscenes.

I don’t say 343 don’t care about their fans; sure not. They tried to show that they know what is important (or funny) for the fanbase … which is good - sure.
But on the other side they risk that other (not Halo-Fanbase-PPl) think: “Oh Halo 4? Isn’t that the game where the players TBag each other?”
And this is bad - isn’t it?

If you and I played professional football and I made a one handed catch over you and another defender, should I knock you over and T-Bag you as a celebration? By this logic, I was the better player, so it’s ok, but in actuality, I’m being extremely unsportsmanlike.

arguing maturity in gaming, thats rich. your problem with it lies less with the mechanic and more so in the appropriate use of it.
Meh I don’t see the issue really, I see it more like a joke from 343 towards the fanbase. I considered it actually quite funny to see something like this in an official trailer.

And are you all really saying that we can have Dubstep and screechy-electronic crap in an “official” trailer, but one Mech “t-bagging” crosses the line? Nah.

Teabagging is all in good fun, it´s a taunt, it can be either friendly or gleefully hostile depending on whom does it.
Sometimes it might be annoyed to have someone crouch up and down onto your motionless corpse, where as at others, you laugh out loud and take your defeat well, whilst commiting to getting out the last laugh.
And of course, doing it yourself.

If you haven’t noticed, Frykill, video games aren’t professional sports. We’re not being telecasted on major networks, we’re not making money for our games.
Teabagging is awesome because it causes people to get butthurt and whine about it on the forums…which makes teabagging all the more worth it.

I know that, and I have never treated them as such. I simply find it humorous how many players need to rub it in players faces (phrasing). Many players still can’t understand the concept of teamwork, much less how to be a good sport. You know how long it’s been since I have heard the words “good game”? It’s been quite a while.
its awesome! T-baggin is part of halo. Plus ppl die alot when they do it so its not without risk. When I do it, I use it as a type of psychological warfare. Cause when you do it to ppl they get mad, when they are mad they dont play as well and make poor choices. when I get t-bagged I keep calm and ignore it knowing if i let it get to me i will play worse. This is how more people should view it, some people just cant handle it I suppose.
I wish more people would see it the way I do and NOT get all butthurt. But then again if everyone seen it like me i suppose my strategy wouldnt work as well. So nvrm I hope everyone still gets mad, I suppose the people crying about t-baggin are the same people that my plan takes advantage of >:}
