Everyone says that the carbine is useless in Halo 3. Whenever I use it, I do way better than with the BR. I got a running riot with the carbine once, even. Since I’m not good at Halo 3, it’s rare for me to even get a spree.
Have to agree with you.i do think the carbine good gun in halo 3.i sometimes get some good kills.
The H3 carbine was so awesome. If you have a quick trigger finger, you can own with it.

Would be nice if Slayer BR’s was replaced (or had an equally popular contender) with slayer carbines.
It’s a great gun, it just doesn’t fire or kill as fast as the BR.
You just have to have a good trigger finger and some serious strafing skills.

That was probably the only thing Bungie unfortunately did not balance. The one weapon to rule them all- the BR.
The Carbine does…alright, but not terrific like the BR. You would of thought, they would of made a nice counter balance to the Battle Rifle with the Carbine by increasing the damage dealt.
The carbine is a fantastic weapon, and anytime I saw it I would pick it up and use it.
I love how nobody picks up the Carbine. I basically can have the Carbine any time I want it. It really is a great gun, I find it much more effective than the BR. The only time I ever lose with it is when I get a bunch of people trying to kill me.
It is a good gun, just the BR is there and the Carbine can’t be used as a starting weapon which is a shame.
don’t know why people keep think it was outclassed so handily by the BR.

both were subject to some small degree (randomness) of spread at range, so who really knows which was the more consistent weapon. The BR was just thrown at us more (Carbine wasn’t even on some maps like Epitaph & The Pit, which is a total tragedy)
All I can say is, it kind of makes me think of how everyone throws away the magnum for something else.
The reason I ditch my magnum is because it’s ugly (and I mean UGLY) and it’s a piece of crap.
I love the Carbine. I don’t see what’s so bad about it.
It’s very useful in maps like High Ground and Sandbox!
It’s been a long time since I played Halo 3, but I remember a certain point I would use the Carbine over the BR all the time just to change it up. It got the job done.

That was the beauty of the carbine. Everyone rushed to get the BR and the carbine would be sitting there waiting for me.
