“Why is BTB still busted?”

Why? Because it seems 343i is just a lazy company that doesnt care about quality only about money. Thats why they put out cat ears instead of fixes for actual gameplay.
You know what will always be fixed immediately and wont be down almost no time at all!? The STORE!!!
Doesnt matter if it is 1h before Christmas holidays, when store is down, there will be night shifts non stop. BTB down/not working? Who cares!? Our cat ear fans can see those in every playlist.

How much money do I have to spend on in game credits so I can help poor little ol’ 343 figure out how to make a game like MCC. The people behind that game are crazy, maybe they can learn from them.
Oh I 100% agree, I’d definitely rather play BTB as it was rather than not at all.
I came across a bit arrogant with my comment and I apologise for that but unfortunately this has (for the last 3 years at least since PUBG) been a common trend with releasing broken state games. To be clear, I wouldn’t fully say that Halo is “broken”, as it is the most stable game service there is at the moment, however that’s not to say that it’s free of bugs. The set standard of quality has been dramatically dropped. I understand that most of these games had been developed from staff working from home so they didn’t have the resources to fully smooth out the bugs. But the final flight was in a god tier level of stability unlike anything I’ve seen & then on launch they rebalanced all the weapons and the connection quality well below the standard of the flight.
Currently though I’m loving the game at where it is, I just want BTB back though. It was so much fun! More casual, less sweaty and just a thoroughly enjoyable game mode.
To me it’s 343’s biggest blunder with Infinite. Even if they fix it later. Thousands of people are gonna want to play BTB during the holidays. And not only will they not have that opportunity again for a year, but it will push away a TON of people from the game after experiencing this.

Ive had two bans in the last half hour, and all I’ve done is sit on the main menu, attempting to play BTB… apparently the server automatically kicking you because it’s a broken mess is now a bannable offence.
btb is broke because to be able to find 24 players thay definitely need crossplay. and most pc players will set their min fps to something way over 30 for quality and then it has trouble rendering because all xbox wants the pc to do is scale down to 30fps while the pc would literally lag for rendering at speeds that low. I have only a 1050ti so I have to min my refresh rate to 60 or i dont even get 60fps which is very important on a pc especially if you have a 240hz monitor like I do. People who are getting connected to every game can get flawless max refresh rates with min. OFF entirely.

Fill out a report. When they say if your ban lifts you don’t need to reply tell them what you were doing and reply anyways.

How do you go around this. What should I do on pc? If it would be the difference between getting into games and not I would limit my frames to 120.

BTB still not working. Gave it today a try. Long search time, then found a match, but started 2 vs 5 CTF
Great, of course i was in the Team of 2 players.
For a BTB match it was fast over. We 2 hided somewhere in a corner of the map and let them get the flag.
we were getting games in ok time without any connection issues.
but then people will drop. and its not refilling the teams.
last match my team only had 1/3 the players left.
343 is back Monday, hopefully some kind of community update this week.
Didn’t think it would when they first announced that, still don’t think it will now.
These need to be at the top of the forum. I figure that all the BTB mains must have just stop playing the game so it’s not been seen as an issue (myself included tbh I’ve mostly just logged in once per day while the christmas event was up).
I’m just so disappointed in the state of this game. It’s not hyperbole or sensationalist to say it’s genuinely broken. Currently all that is functional is 4v4 matchmaking or SP campaign. BTB is barely functional, Customs are barely functional, forge & coop are not present. That’s a huge chunk of the game that simply doesn’t work or isn’t there. 343 need to put out a statement ASAP because their product is somehow in an almost worse state than it launched (and it would be entirely worse if not for the newer playlists & event pass improvements).

I can get into matches on my own just fine, but i’ve specifically been having issues connecting when I party with anyone else, hopefully there are fixes coming bc BTB has always been one of my favorite game types!
I tried yesterday to find a BTB match on my own. Long search time until it found 1 match. It started 2 vs 5 CTF.
Of course i was in the Team of 2. We went both hiding in a corner of the map while the other Team captured 3 time the flag.
Still not working for me.
So they had someone working on this over break and we will see a fix next week. Finally!
