Athlon isn’t a good looking armor, and it most definitely doesn’t look how spartan armor should. Why has 343 pushed this armor on us so much? We have a variant exclusive to the HCS packs, an Athlon bluetooth speaker, and 4 Athlon variants (not including champion or the default). It seems like they’re making it out to be the armor of hyper-competitive spartans or something, which doesn’t make much sense. I don’t get why it’s being made out as such a big thing.
I would like to be able to get the Athlon champion haha. I did not have the RP last year when it came out

I LOVE Athlon, it is one of the coolest sets in Halo 5.

No kidding, they have like maybe 3 or 4 sets that are actually worth while.

Athlon is probably one of the least worst offenders in the game. Compared to stuff like Seeker, Jumpmaster, Breaker and FOTUS, it looks pretty darn Spartan-esque to me.
But of course, that’s relative to the crappy armours in Halo 5. Athlon doesn’t even come close to Bungie’s armours.
I don’t feel they are pushing it on us, don’t want it, don’t buy it. It’s exclusive for people who do want to buy it but isn’t necessary to. It does suck for people like me who want the 100% completion and can’t. But i won’t cave in and buy as a result.
It just looks like a rounder version of noble 6’s armor to me.
Every game has technically had an armor pushed on us. Halo CE had the Mark V, halo 2/3 had the Mark IV, halo Reach had the Mark 5B, halo 4 had the recruit, and halo 5 has the athlon. It does look pretty cool honestly. It’s like a sleek, futuristic upgrade to mjolnir armor.

All the other sets you just referenced have one thing in common, they’re default. Athilon ain’t default.

This. A thousand times this. I tend to view Dynast in a similar light too, not the worst offender but I prefer OG CQB thanks. And now I half expect the ‘give me back my face’ person to show up X3

It’s there for whoever wants to wear it… I personally don’t like it, but it looks alright to me.
To be honest I like Athlon, I like its style for some reason.
I dont like it,but I dont see it too often so its ok.
