How’d they pull a Bungie? I really can’t see how after Reach, Bungie is all of a sudden a terrible developer.

there are many other things you can do with a kinect for example I practice my fuhrer salute using the kinect to check my balance and posture however I have now been banned from doing this in the town centre (very rude, will be contacting the local newspaper to complain)
You know you can just simply look at the info about each of the species and vehicles and ect from the internet right? Do us a favor and calm down about it, this whole analyse thing isnt realy that important to have.
Op is over exaggerating. Pulling off a bungie would be much worse. I could care less about analyzing.

Right, sorry for everyone trying to follow this thread.
I never started this bickering with Shadow, I made a reasonable post explaining a possible alternative to the prevailing mood of the thread.
Shadow jumped on me, he mocked and patronised me as if I’m some child who learnt all about the games industry from official Xbox magazine.
After a bit of back and forth I started just ignoring him, but then he started quoting all my posts in the thread, none of which were directed at him and used them to try and goad me into a reaction.
I do work in the industry, I have worked for Microsoft. I don’t need to prove myself to anyone, I offered to do it via PM, but Shadow declined.
343 did pitch Halo CEA to Microsoft, I don’t think they did, they did, it is a fact. Microsoft and every other publisher have a greenlighting process which involves the developer pitching the game.

I feel like you’re getting a tad bit too pissed off about a GIMMICK that comes with the game. Lol.
Granted, I feel like it’s a shame that it’s kinect-only, considering I really would like that feature; however, I don’t feel that it’s a sin for 343 to add that in.
I mean… -Yoink!- DOES want people buying kinect… So why is it a crime for them to try and give even a LITTLE incentive for some people to buy it? I mean, after all, you don’t get achievements for it, you don’t get anything that means anything out of it…

It’s really not worth moaning about. You’re as well getting Kinect anyways. It’s going to be a part of a lot of titles from now on.

Splitting the community is NO argument. Only a person wouldn’t realize splitting the community means having them NOT play together. And obviously Kinect players CAN PLAY with non-Kinect players.
Get over it. Analyze mode being Kinect only is just as bad as having a pre-order only bonus, not that anyone ever cared about those.

I have KINECT and I’m really looking forward to this feature. However, I still feel sorrow for anyone who doesn’t have KINECT as some people, such as myself, will really enjoy this feature.

The Kinect only feature is no big deal. Any halo fan should know what an elite or a jackal is. Don’t whine because microsoft put something in for kinect owners.

And I gurantee you it was MS’ call, not 343’s. I wouldn’t be surprised if Microsoft told them to make a Kinect-exclusive feature, and that’s the only reason the feature exists in the first place. Because Microsoft OWNS 343, and they have the final say on everything, and get all the money, minus 343’s paychecks.

I agree with all these people. People like the OP need to grow up. It’s not even that amazing. I can google what a Elite looks like and what information is. Oh wait I have a better idea. One week after the game comes out. Someone will complete the whole library and post it on Youtube. OMG…
