Why is Action Sack 8 players only?

If you notice, half of the maps in Action Sack are created to be played 4v4 or 8FFA, but half of them are big enough or chaotic enough to be played 8v8 or 16 FFA. You can even notice in some maps by the amount of vehicles available. Mantis Breakout is meant to be 4v4, but Tank World is meant to be 8v8. I would like Action Sack to be a 16 players game, but for some maps it wouldn’t work. Example, Rift Ball is good as it is right now, it would become too chaotic if it were to be 8v8. On the other hand, Pound Arena would be more chaotic with more players (which will solve the “Beam Rifle only users” problem). Again, Husky Raid is as good as it can be, But imagine 8v8 Mongoose Sumo. So finally, My suggestion would be having a Big Team Action Sack and the normal Action Sack, the second one focusing on small maps meant for 4v4 or 8 players (Paintball Junkies, Mantis Breakout, Rift Ball, Husky Raid), and the first one focusing on games that are meant to be chaotic (Tank World, Pound Arena, Minotaurs, Mongoose Sumo).

Why am I concerned about this? Well, I watch a lot of youtube videos about map showcases. Forgers have created a lot of amazing maps and game modes that probably would end in the game in a near future. The bad news is that if they are big maps, meant to have crazy funny gameplay, they are not used to their full potential because of the player quantity restriction, and they end up being boring sometimes (not all the time, just sometimes). Example: endlessly searching for the Last Man Standing in Minotaurs, Sumo matches that end too early without reaching the last block, people that focus on using only the Beam Rifle on Pound Arena, etc. Yeah, Pound Arena is a tiny map, but is obviously meant for crazy gameplay with a lot of players.

Anyway, tell me what you think.

I mean there’s always a custom games option there. Its a 8 player playlist cause its supposed to balance it out for the different modes. U dont expect them to make a new playlist for tank world just to suit additional players right. Also more players = resulting in more player dcs = unnecessary rants here on the forums
Still custom games with randoms are still fun and the perks is u wont get DISCONNECTED- yes 343 im looking at you (whole fireteam had a server crash and returned to lobby during warzone)

Have to disagree… only tank world would probably be alright with 8v8. The rest play just fine as 4v4.

Action sack has never been anything but 8 people.

Guess I’ll have to ask the guys in my company to play those games with me then.

Have you seen iSpiteful videos? He has showcased almost every gamemode on Halo 5 Action Sack, and they play 8v8 most of the time, it’s hilarious what can happen (15 Minataur vs 1 Last Man Standing for example)

This is a good idea
Chaos is a good thing. That is half of the reason that i like this playlist.

Not only that but half the modes in action sack in halo 5 are -Yoink-. Minotaurs in -Yoink-, Tankworld is -Yoink-, Mongoose sumo is -Yoink-, paintball junkies is okay. Mantis breakout is okay. Pound arena should spawn with shotguns. Husky raid is well… Husky raid. Rift ball is cool and I think it should have been a grifball gametype. Oh wait… Halo 5 doesn’t have any gametypes!!!

Don’t agree with you about the modes being yoink, I like them, but I have to agree with you in Pound Arena with Shotgun spawns, to many Beam Rifle shots are fired, you just see a pound or two. I thought about Rift Ball being added as a Grift Ball variant, but it plays differently, so I doubt they’ll do it. The should make Rift Ball a new game type.
