Why is the Achilles armor only listed as an ultra rare req? This is the most difficult item to get in all of halo. I know it doesent really matter but it makes no sense. It should have it’s own special level like mythic.
Achilles is hardly the most difficult set to get in Halo. Sure you have to grind a ton, but at least you’ll have a chance of getting it if you stick around in a Spartan Company for long enough.
Why does it matter how it’s rarity is labeled? Isnt the most important thing how it looks?

I can understand his point…sort of.
I was personally surprised myself that it wasn’t originally labeled as a “legendary” set when it first came out. For the hardest armor to get in Halo 5 (not all of Halo, OP. How about original Halo 3 Recon for starters?), it’s odd that it’s labeled “ultra rare”.
I’m not freaking out over it, but it is something to think of out of curiosity.
I don’t think it’s the most difficult to get. Something like Olive where you have to get your map into matchmaking would be harder just because you have to be able to make a decent map and then get it selected on top of that.

I’ve actually ran into one player a while back who had the Olive helmet (and the accompanying Compass emblem). Quite the sight if I do say so myself.

It really is. I’ve run into people with both as well. I want that emblem, too bad I’m too trash at forge to get it. :'D
Because it’s ultra rare as in very very uncommon.
Rarities makes no sense to cosmetics. Just like the Scout, Its in all rarities and it became legendary because of the paintjob. Stupid eh?

Frankly, if we were to rate these things based on looks, the Argus set would be Common and Anubis would be Mythic.
The helmet, specifically. It’s an amazingly cool looking helmet, and I’m surprised it’s a Common REQ. It also makes it very hard to get out of REQ packs.

But you have some of the ugliest armour in the game labelled “legendary” because they have a bird poop paint job (white skins).
The rarity of it matters very little because it can’t be unlocked with req packs. You only see it for a very limited amount of time when selecting the set anyway.

I love the way it looks. Wish I had the helmet. But still it should have a special classification due to how hard it is to get.

If this is hardly the most difficult armor set to get then what is? I’m sure that olive set is hard to get but I’d bet you could make a map in less time then it takes to unlock achilles. You can also make a map all on your own but Achilles unlocked playing solo is impossible.

It’s probably because 343i just wanted to put a random quality type to it, I suspect 343i didn’t really care. I suspect it wasn’t originally meant to be used for the company thing but due to the complaints about lacking of earning anything worthwhile…so they probably decided it was best to throw a random armour in there. (Still if it’s true…wasn’t the right way of making something worthwhile doing since it’s still as much of a grind to get as those awful RNG loot box unlocks in H5)

Yeah but rarity means a lot to the REQs, permanent at least. And for the amount of time it takes for a Spartan Company to obtain it from scratch, it should’ve been Legendary

It being Legendary wouldn’t change how it looks. And the only real bearing the rarity has is the chance you have of unlocking it in a pack. For a special case like Achilles, the rarity is completely arbitrary.
just like alot of the emblems and a few other things that were in the game at launch they made them only ultra rare not legendary just like how season emblems were not legendary for awhile so it doesn’t matter what the rarity color is as everyone knows that set is the ultimate grinder and dedication to obtain the armor and the helmet so i agree legendary would have made more sense but it isn’t a big deal as anyone that would see you with it knows what you likely went through to get it. I love the helmet the armor i am not the biggest fan of so i normally use the helmet and some other armor on my character. only thing the helmet lets you down on is the color of its visor is basically pointless to change as you can’t really see it anyways, but i still use the helmet as its very good looking. I wish they had timmy armor to go with the timmy helmet as i would be curious to know what it would look like as the timmy helmet is another great looking helmet that you have to earn not through packs.
it should be mythic tbh… i got my set in early 2016… i just think it deserves a mythic label
It drives my ocd nuts about half of the rarities dont match up anyways
