It’d be nice if XP and RP were given out for actual skill rather than doled out like Tee-Ball participation trophies. I played a couple of Arena matches a while back and looked at my RP and XP results:
- Match 1 - Got the lowest K/D on the team, but we managed to win in the end: 1335 XP, 693 REQ Points. - Match 2 - Most kills out of all players, best overall K/D on my team: 1481 XP, 738 REQ Points. This is quite frankly ridiculous. You shouldn’t have to use Gambit Boosts if you want to actually get rewarded for your performance.
Let people earn a solid baseline level of XP/RP but also let people earn more, and I mean a lot more, based on how they actually perform in the match. Kills, assists, objective-based kills, and objective completions should reward you based on what gametype you’re playing. Games like CTF and Strongholds should reward you for capturing the respective objectives as well as doing things like returning flags, defending strongholds, killing the flag carrier, etc. Slayer matches should reward you for kills first and foremost while ensuring that Assists also give you a decent amount. WarZone should place emphasis on Base Captures and Boss Kills only; no bonuses for regular kills/assists.
Please make some sort of change to the way that these points are given out. The fact that players can place at the top of the scoreboard but only get chump-change to show for it is utterly stupid.
