Why is 343 trying to kill this game?

So aside from the many issues in this game most of the community and I agree that this game has such a solid base and tremendous potentional with infinites gameplay. With that being said with the lack of content and custom games being broken they’re still gonna go ahead and remove fiesta like what? How in the world does that make any sense?! I just truly don’t get it. And I don’t even like Fiesta all that much but when the only other option is to play some forced game modes you don’t want to it’s a good option to have!!!

Honestly I think they’re just deliberately being petty at this point.

Fiesta was sold as a limited time event from the start. They did this for a while now in MCC. You will see stuff like Griffball as limited time events. They do this because back when those gametypes had their own playlist they died out. It’s the kind of mode that’s fun for a bit but then you realize it’s unbalanced goofy crap, and get tired of. But people don’t mind playing it for a week on rotation for something different.

If that is true that is honestly some delirious -Yoink!- on their end. I didn’t hate 4or5 like most people but even I know their track record with this franchise is far from good its almost as if they needed to nail this game in ALL ASPECTS! And then for all this to happen it’s so disappointing especially like I said above with how they’ve essentially nailed the gameplay part of it!(aim still isn’t all that great imo but that’s far from my biggest issue with this game)

I understand that part of it but again with such a lack of content in regards to what games modes they’re giving(forcing on) us. It just don’t seem to make sense to me at this point in time.

I don’t think they’re necessarily trying to kill the game, but they are trying to see how much profit driven practices can get away with, and they overshot by a VERY noticeable margin.

If I remember correctly, I remember seeing a post saying that we haven’t been given access to the full weapons armory and I believe that’s true to game modes as well. It is a beta and I’m sure they’re wanting to test high player counts on each modes ie being forced to play game modes instead of being able to select which one you want to play. I’m pretty sure Slayer isn’t even in the game at the moment but will be added at launch.

343 literally said that the beta launched with all day 1 maps and modes lol. I don’t really get why people are holding out that we are going to get a bunch of stuff on Dec. 8. We might get 1 surprise map or extra mode but given their previous statement I doubt we’ll see some big drop on December 8 besides the Campaign itself (and any cosmetics that come with that).

Also yes Slayer is in the game, but not as a standalone playlist.

It’s really baffling to me to not let people queue for the exact modes they want and have so few modes available at launch. It’s like Halo 5 all over again, but this time staple stuff like Infection and Swat might be weekly gamemodes whenever they are added. This honestly kills the game for me personally even more than the progression system. I have very little control over what darn mode I’m actually playing!

That doesn’t mean we won’t get playlists or the ability to select which mode we want to play at launch.

I agree. It’s frustrating because this is the first 343 Halo that plays like a Halo to me. I was hyped when I started playing it, but I’m all of 3 days in and I’m bored already. How did they not understand that H5’s launch was a disaster on large part because the content was not there. We have 3pvp playlists, 4 with fiesta…are you kidding me. Not only that, there are what, 4 maps per playlist? I can’t even option to play ffa. How is this not added, give anyone in the community 10 minutes and we’d have snipers, swat, ffa, multiteam, doubles, btb heavies, infection…I just don’t understand how with nearly 7 years of dev time this is what we get. Like, Halo 2 and Halo 3 COMBINED only had 6 years of dev time (CE launched in '01 assumed time of H2 start and H3 launched in '07) and both launched complete. This is 2021 and we are lacking behind games that launched more than a decade and a half ago. It’s sad, I want to like this game but 343, per the usual, seems to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. I hope they fix it before it is too late.
