I thought they were two “separate teams” so why is the team that supposedly made MCC not doing their jobs and updating MCC. I like H5 but 343 needs to keep giving MCC attention. there are still many of us who would prefer to play classic halo.
I wouldn’t trust anything 343i say. The “separate team” was probably a handful of guys hired to finish the job. Or just the original teams paid a little bit of money to finish the job. Now that contract is up all updates responsibilities fall to 343i, who are too busy trying to fix Halo 5 before that game loses too many players and the RNG-microtransaction system isn’t worth maintaining.
343i have the worst track record at post launch support, and by now they are already looking at making Halo 6. Remember that in order to complete Halo 5 they had to have over 3 years of development and parts of the game aren’t even released. If they want any chance at releasing Halo 6 in 2018 they need to get their heads down now. They don’t have time for MCC and MS doesn’t have any interest in sinking any of the money they took from us for the game back in to fixing what is broke.
Because they only care for money.

This could have been the biggest game to ever hit Xbox! EVER!! A system seller for sure. They would have been calling games the MCC killer. Instead it’s the biggest mistake to ever hit… Such high hopes for 343i we all had. This was such a dream gift to the fans. I sold all my Halo games and Xbox’s just to have one place to play them all. Next time I’ll wait until the game is out first.
They need to fix this!! It is not expectable to leave the Master Chief like this. MS is really about the money only and not what the fans want.

Its sad that their were so many problems with the game.
Yep, tis a shame really, since I have never played Halo 2 before, and the game will not let me match up with other people who want to play Halo 2 as well.
That really pisses me off, at first I was in the H5 hype train but now that I have played it its really just OK, unlike the fantastic original triliogy. The only reason I still play it as much now is because my clan insists on only playing H5. I do try to play MCC as much as I can though.
They aren’t smart enough to fix it. That simple.
Is there any confirmation either way about them continuing to support this game? They might just be preoccupied with the very recent release of Halo 5. This game really is amazing, and it would be a tragedy if they give up on it. I have never really had any problems with matchmaking, but if that is still a problem for some players they should address it. What I’m talking about specifically is just keeping up with it, adding new playlists, adding halo reach, I’m extremely hopeful that they have enough support for this game to eventually add Halo 3 Anniversary, and of course adding the rest of the Halo 2 maps to H2 Anniversary. Also I just now found out that you can’t save game replays, and there are no replays for campaign. These are things that they should work on, or at least address to players. If 343 can’t handle it then Microsoft should give it to a different developer. I just want this game to be all it can be, it’s the reason I, and I’m sure many other people, got an xbox one on the first place.

I’m kinda rambling, but that’s just because I want this game to be all it can be, it’s the reason I, and I’m sure many other people, got am xbox one on the first place.
I played this evening between 4pm and 7 pm EST. Was able to get into H2A, Action Sack and BTB. there were no really long waits(greater than 5 minutes). But still took to long. It should not take more than 3 minutes. Also saw several times. It would say “Players found”. Then it would say “Connecting Session”. Then it would drop what players it had pulled in and start over. Its almost like the system is just overwhelmed and can’t sort out the que, like the lobbies are fighting with each other for players.
My gold account is about to end and I dont have plans to renew it anymore… Im really dissapointed to what Halo has become…
All of 343i’s lies, from the beggining to the end… I just wont waste my money on this anymore…
Such an unethical team dont deserve what they Have…

yeah its quite pathetic…I genuinely hate how game developers arent held accountable anymore for the quality of their products. The game itself could be one of the best experiences ever released on one disk and they have severely screwed over everyone who purchased this game, but what do they care? they don’t, they have halo 5 out now and during the first effing week players spent half a mill on their ridiculous microtransactions…I genuinely wish the gaming community as a whole would stand up for itself and stop putting up with their crap but I’m afraid the glory days of halo and gaming are long gone now…it was fun while it lasted i guess!
It is such a shame that the great Master Chief name was associated with the game because it’s an unfortunate mess. Had such great promise and potential but the execution was just poor. The game needed more time, there’s no way 343 thought it was ready. They must have known there were issues, yet still it was released to us unfinished.
Master Chief would literally kill everyone at 343 for associating his name with that game.

The simple answer is that there is no more money to be made on the game. 343i was already forced to give away the DLC (Halo: ODST) that they had planned for the game. The logic is that the game is old enough now that no one should expect 343i to continue to support it.

ODST was never planned, neither was the additional map that Certain Affinity developed and released
