Lock your FPS to what your monitor can do, having it unlocked maxes out my CPU (i7 9700k) causing a lot of my crashes.
And its the holidays even if they had volunteers to work them, everybody still going to be off christmas. Maintenance doesn’t work the holidays unless its life threatening, or unsafe for the consumer.
Asus 3080 OC Strix, Ryzen 7 5800x, 32Gb 3600Mhz RAM, SN850 2TB SSD (game drive, OS is on different NVMe) on Windows 11. Multiplayer keeps crashing while loading the map, usually between 0% and 10%. Everything else works fine, campaign and all of academy. Even training mode with bots works fine but when I set up a custom game with bots, it’ll crash during loading map. I played over 30 mins of training mode and as soon as I go to multiplayer, it’ll crash while loading the map. I was banned from ranked for crashing too many times, also got banned from quick play for crashing too many time, and I didn’t know you could get banned from quick play.
I have the game from game pass, and we’re limited from what we can do with the game files. Most “fixes” you read online only apply to the steam version. My 2TB SN850 is just for games and I only have 200 GB free on that drive. OS, launders, files and other programs are on my other NVMe. Halo is the only game that keeps crashing. They need to fix it.
Im not going to touch solo/duo now ive gone from 1734 to 1640 in 2 days with 6 crashes and like 4 3v4s. Then i play vs Snipedrone, jimbo and Sab in separate games.
I have a ryzen 5800x and 6800xt with 32gb ram.
Ive updated everything gone through every guide on YouTube to fix the issue and nothing, apparently they switched to xbox at HCS because there crashes were being caused by the 6800xt they were using.
So ive spent 800 quid on a new GPU for infinite that is specifically the one thats crashing.
Are you playing the game from game pass? That was causing all my problems. I downloaded the multiplayer from Steam and haven’t had a crash yet. I was worried about losing everything but you actually sign in with you XLB ID and everything transfers over.
Do you think saying: “Do you think coding is easy” will in ANY way magically make it okay that 343 somehow fumbled microsoft’s baby of 20 years with this mess? this is not 343’s first halo game, don’t defend mediocrity by trying to insert some petty insult talking down to somebody else. It was unplayable for me from game pass. It would crash in multiplayer while loading the map, had to do a video for the ticket I filled out, got a reply that they passed it along to their devs and there is no workaround or ETA when my issue will be addressed. Tells me they’re aware of the issue but don’t know the cause of it or haven’t even tried to look into it.
I just don’t see how they missed an infinite loop (no pun intended) of messages when you fail to connect to a fireteam. The error handling is atrocious. I’m a coder myself and it’s not that difficult much of the time to actually write/copy the code. It only becomes difficult when you don’t know how to test it and it then breaks in production
