Why is 343 gonna sell us the color Blue over 20 times

The coating system is not great but what really makes it terrible is how obvious 343 is trying to make that clear.
There are about 10 weapons and 10 vehicles and 3 armor cores.
If you get the color blue for a weapon it doesn’t go onto all the other weapons, vehicles, or armor cores. Meaning you can buy one color at least 20 times. There is obviously more armor core, weapons, and vehicles to come. This is so dumb and toxic.
Same with emblems. You not only cant customize the emblems like Halo Reach, but they are going to sell you the emblems for specific weapons, vehicles, armor cores, and your profile.
The part of the customization is already limited but they go further by making it where you cant even put the stuff you own on things you should be able to.
I really like Halo and Infinite, Ive been waiting for years to come out. But this system is so bad and this doesnt even include the progression, battle pass, and shop prices. Not even the fact that you cant put Halo reach armor on the samurai or Mark IIV armor.
343, this is Pathetic.

ye and thats just one coating. Imagine all coatings and emblems.

343 delivered an upgraded Halo 5 gameplay experience and that’s all they needed to do for a Free to Play game. Everything else is purely “extra” now, all because they gave players 50% of the multiplayer unfinished and intend on finishing it as long as players pay the $10 fee every new Season, and by finish it I mean sprinkle in Cosmetics periodically so the players who rely on money to progress through videogames can keep Halo Infinite nice and bloated with microtransactions.

I hate coatings so much, this was not a good compromise for Halo going free-to-play, they should’ve allowed you to change your colours for free & have coatings exist as a premium option with unique designs.

You are the reason this stuff is even happening, mediocrity at its finest.

This is why we need a color system where we can choose the armor color of each individual piece for free. Armor coatings can be special designs that you can unlock or purchase to add some extra flair to your armor, scorch marks, dents in the armor, color gradients, patterns, blood marks, dirt/mud, scratches, etc. If I bought an armor coating that has scratches all over it, I would be able to choose the colors of all the individual pieces of armor, and then, if let’s say it fades from orange to black in the middle of the chest, you could choose which colors it would fade between. What they should be selling are special effects, not basic colors

Honestly I enjoyed Halo 5 Progression and the gameplay was still fun to me. By far Halo Infinite one of the best Halo Gameplay there is. Just terrible progression and customization and micro transactions.

Coatings in general shouldn’t have existed for Armor. For vehicles and weapons is fine. But you don’t get coatings in the freaking battle pass and when you do get a coating it has to be specifically chosen for individual weapons and vehicles.

We need a combo of the best parts of progression/customization from Halo Reach and Halo 5.
MCC Has the best Customization of all Games in general.
We need free color picking options but it should be even better.
Instead of primary and secondary. We should be able to choose a color for each indidual piece of armor like the helmet is black and red or chest is white and red or sumn.

Any kind of armor coloring pattern that I couldn’t make with a system where I could pick individual armor piece colors, I’d be happy paying for

I would limit it to solid colors for each armor piece. They have to have something to sell, and I think the more complicated color patterns would be worth selling. However, we might be able to choose the colors that are in those patterns?

Halo Infinite gameplay is great, it’s Halo 5’s but upgraded. And like you and many others have said, the lack of true progression, customization and everything being designed around microtransactions that have no reason to exist other than to turn your spartan a different color is ruining the overall feel of Halo Infinite’s multiplayer. They should be focusing on more content that will contribute to everyone and the system as a whole, not just man-children who can’t play the game normally and must rely on paying money to unlock the content.

I would be willing to buy Seasons if they came with road maps detailing all the QUALITY things you’ll be getting, not just challenge swaps and OLD cosmetics they gave to players for FREE years ago… at least have the decency and the skill to create new original armor/emblems to entice me to want it…

On top of that, there is no sign of new game modes, or revolving playlists outside of an “event,” the roadmap right now looks incredibly bare when looking forward… but at least there’s a very pretty “we promise something is coming soon” sign to look at…

For those players who wanted Free to play, congratulations… you got 50% of a game now and then they’ll spend the next several years finishing it up to 100% which they should have dropped from the very start in a normal $65 game.

That’s what I’ve been saying! There are so many designs to choose from. They would sell like hotcakes, if they’d just let us have the basic colors for armor pieces (which would already be the most advanced color system Halo’s ever had) and then they could sell cool designs on top of that. They’d be legendary!
