Infection and forge go hand-in-hand when it comes to custom games. All of the fun games aside from bumper cars (ex. Jenga, Speed Halo, Ghostbusters, etc.) used the gametype and having such an advanced forge means nothing if you cant make a gametype to play on it. Sure Halo 4’s flood variant was sub-optimal, but the infection on tmcc brought it back to the original infection with some cool character models and a custom weapon, retaining all the malleability of halo 3 and reach infection. Even without custom games, remember the Halo Reach infection multiplayer playlist? That was historically one of the most filled-up gametypes on Reach and it probably still has players today because of how fun it is. Does anyone else think that an Infection gametype is the only major thing that 5 is missing? Anyone think 343 should add it like they did btb, fiesta, and grifball?
Also comment any good custom games you guys can think of that dont need infection. 
I believe 343 will add it in a future update for sure. Everyone wants it and they will probably hype it up a lot. They’re probably working on it as i type.
It appears to me that 343 considers Infection to be a blight and has essentially treated it as such since they took over the franchise.
I honestly dont want to get my hopes up as even if we do get it, it will probably be closer to Halo 4 Flood (which sucked) than previous iteration.
I hope it comes soon so everyone who wants it is happy, but I couldn’t care less about its inclusion. I didn’t know it was missing for the longest time.

Our patience will only last so long, especially since many issues seem to go unfixed… and all we get is more shallow reskins of armour.
It’s literally the biggest casual gametype.
Not sure how it got that way, but… it just flat out demolishes fiesta and most other action sack style modes in population for most Halo games that have it.

You try balancing a game-mode based entirely on shotguns and people charging at them with swords. Have you SEEN the range the sword and the shotgun have now?
All i know is we need it back and we need it to be a perma social playlist

Have you SEEN how short the radar range is?
And even when it comes it will be unplayable just like griffball because everyone uses spartan charge. And yes I’m salty… Try playing griffball without spartan charging and lunging with the sword (because thats the easiest way to get kills) and try too get 80+ kills. Back in reach it actually took some kind of timing skill but In this game it’s broken in my eyes.
People already have maps made for it. It was the only thing I played in MCC once it released. Infection is one of the most critical game modes to halo, because all of the fun modes made in it are what kept the population up high previously, because it added so much longevity to the game. (Especially when combined with forge!)
Infection is probably the most important missing game mode, but King of the Hill and Race are still desperately needed.
I honestly never cared for infection, would much rather see KOTH, Ricochet, and Rocket Race. And Action Sack of course. All much more fun than infection i’d say, but thats just me.
Its not necessary at all. It would be cool for those that enjoy it of course but necessary? No. Until they add it do what the people did who came before you, go to customs.
I bet we will get it in this next update. Fingers crossed!
