I think Halo 5 has a lot to offer in Halo’s most important areas. I can only put down things that are confirmed.
Campaign:
Brand new story featuring two different perspectives with Fireteam Osiris and Blue Team
Larger and more open than other Halo games
New enemies
4 player co-op as unique characters
Huge enemies like the Scarab are said to return
Squad ordering
Revive mechanic
New weapons and vehicles
New soundtrack
Multiplayer:
Warzone, including its Invasion variant
6 Warzone maps that are each 4 times bigger than any Halo map, with 6 more to come later
Classic BTB with it’s own maps
Arena
20+ maps at launch with all map packs being free
Breakout
CTF
Strongholds
Spectator Mode
Theater Mode
Forge Mode
New weapons and vehicles
Customization:
Armor customization
Select your own Assassination animations
Weapon skins
More to be announced
As a whole, the game has been designed completely around Spartan Abilities to make the gameplay fresh, deep and rewarding. Halo 5 might not have Spartan Ops or Firefight but they were mostly side modes anyways. What 343 has done is focus on the 2 most important things in Halo - Campaign and Multiplayer.
The contrast between Halo 5’s offerings is pretty cool. You have Campaign for all the people who love the story and experiencing a massive PVE mode with their friends. You’ve got Warzone for all the big team junkies out there. Even Classic BTB is making a return for people who prefer that. Then you’ve got Arena and Breakout for all the competitive players who want a smaller, more balanced experience. Each flavor of Halo’s multiplayer comes with it’s own unique maps, to ensure that each mode plays exactly as intended. The Campaign has got its own special treatment, adding the revive mechanic and squad ordering to make it unique. Each player plays as a different character that they can select. The characters have their own loadout and even have a unique HUD to further add more personality and differences. Fireteam Osiris has more advanced tech, allowing them to find things easier. As for Blue Team, as if playing as Blue Team wasn’t already cool enough, you can spawn with a Sniper Rifle or Shotgun depending on which character you play.
Multiplayer maps look more interactive than ever before. Players can slide under low clearings and clamber up to higher places. The map Fathom features platforms that can be lowered when shot, adding more interactivity and adding to the learning curve, at least for Fathom.
I can tell you one thing. I will be spending a Hell of alot of time in Warzone.
I hope we get modes like Infection and Juggernaut back.

This is why its shaping up to be the best halo IMO. But I know that as I scroll down, people will find a way to bash everything you have said
i cant wait for halo 5 and i hate every nitpicking -Yoink- that always finds something wrong with it something small and not a problem at all gets blown way out of proportion because of these people we should band together and ban them from halo forever lol cuz we dont want 343 or i mean at least i dont want 343 to change things everyones fine with just because of one person or a small group of people

I’m gonna try to make the campaign last for more than a day
i might even replay it over and over again lol
My only problem with this game is in fact that the consumers who want to get the $250 version of the game that they mudt surely love, cant even get a limited edition disc, and are losing content to a $100 edition as a mid tier purchase…

After playing the beta there should be no one bashing on what he said. The pace of the game is like being on a rollercoaster; I had almost no down time and honestly couldn’t play more than 10 matches in a row because of the amount of skill that you have to put into it. I think that this might just be the best Halo ever, but also the best FPS we have had in a while!
The OP lists a ton of reasons to be jacked for Halo 5. The renewed focus on balanced, competitive multiplayer plus the addition of Warzone and a massive and intricate campaign promises one of the best games in the franchise to date. One thing I noticed the OP left out (although I believe many would), is the emphasis on making Halo a viable e sport again. If this plays out as anticipated, Halo 5 will have legs for years to come.

There is absolutely no excuse they can give us that will satisfy the fans as to why they decided not to do a disc launch with the Collectors.
Agreed, so pumped for h5, after story is beat i’ll be missing due to warzone.
I think it will be the best one yet hands down, like no contest. TMCC will go to it’s grave.
Reviving breaks my #immersion

Right. Because soooooo many other games have these exact abilities. So many that it just blows my mind.
