First let me say that I’m a longtime Halo fan (I’ve been playing since the original Xbox). I can remember the big tv’s that were hard to carry around but you brought one over a friends house anyway so you could link two (sometimes three or four) xbox’s together to play multiplayer. Now I’m disappointed in 343 Industries. Halo: The Master Cheif Collection was a disaster and they think they can buy us back by giving us “exclusive” in game content, Halo 3: ODST’s campaign (they can’t include FireFight why?), and a new map for Halo 2: Anniversary multiplayer. Although it’s nice to know that we’re getting Halo 3: ODST’s campaign, I’m still disappointed at 343 Industries for releasing a game that they knew was broken (and it still is in many ways) and now they think everything is ok with these so called “gifts.”
1). They are only giving away 1 month free (they should make it 2 months). The game is well over a month old and multiplayer still doesn’t work the way it should. 10 minutes to find a match? Really!
2). They are giving away half a game. No FireFight? Although I get the game for free, someone else has to pay to play half a game. Not cool!
3). The exclusive in game items are a joke. A nameplate? An avatar item? They should let us customize our armor fully like we could in Halo 3 and Halo 4 instead (which should’ve been a feature from day one).
The person that made the video above has it spot on. I'm not going to Pre-Order another broken game. No more bad multiplayer, acheivements not unlocking, and other cut content.
you know there still going to be fixing the game before and after the free stuff comes right?

they’re
I am sure he knows, however it is still a broken game. Better to wait another day to see if Guardians is broken on launch too.
I get it and won’t be pre ordering either but I am getting like day 2

I do wonder why people assume Halo 5 will have a broken launch as well. The beta seemed to be working fine, but we’ll see what a bigger strain the open beta has on it soon enough. Halo 4, on the other hand, had a functioning launch (quality of the gameplay aside). I’m not pre-ordering Halo 5 anyway, but I think people really should look at everything in context. Halo 5 is a single experience whereas the MCC was a collection of different games all trying to be run at once and probably was not given enough time by Microsoft to be finished, a problem Bungie complained about when they were making Halo. In contrast, Halo 5 will have about 3 years of development when it launches.
I’m gonna miss ya, hmmm, maybe not.
The only way I will preorder halo 5 will be if they release a legendary edition with physical content. Other than that no preorder for me.

And to add what DecepticonCobra said… I don’t see MCC failure as a step back for 343. If anything, it’s ultimately a step forward. It was a learning experience for them. Because of what happened to MCC, they’re probably even more careful with Halo 5.
