Why I'm not motivated to fight bosses in warzone

If one team does 99% of the damage to a covenant/promethian enemy and a stray enemy player drives/flies in and gets one shot on it, the team that did more damage should get the points. Just sayin’…

I mean I go for bosses if our team needs to. Otherwise no.

There should be SOME balance really, it gets kinda frustrating to have it get stolen…

Needs to be a percentage score… If your team does 99% of the damage you should get 99% of the points… Or am i crazy?

With the experience the community has as a whole anymore, in game I don’t notice boss steals happening very much, personally. Most times a team gets a boss kill that I see, the team had the area around the boss decently locked down.

And when there are huge battles going on over a boss, whatever team brought the bigger guns to the battle (higher level reqs, both weapons and vehicles) ends up with the kill.

I feel like this is the idea behind designing warzone balance. Whether or not these actions were the intended actions doesn’t really matter to me. I believe warzone rewards teams who have good map control and/or intelligent use of high level reqs. With that logic, I have no problem with how boss kills are awarded.

Warzone isn’t supposed to be balanced.

Use Arclight and hold onto it till you’re ready to Kill steal. Yeah its frustrating but it also gives the losing team hope.

I hate it too but seeing I only need 7 wardens to complete all enemy com’s I’ll be the one grinding like make in the last few seconds while attacking wardens :smiley:

I’m not motivated because most times I’ve gone to fight a boss, there has been little or no support from my teammates.

If Boss kills are important to you, remember to be opportunistic about it. If your team is all going for the boss, but no one is going for the enemy, your chances of getting the kill go down. You have to play different roles for every boss, depending on the circumstance. I know it can be frustrating when you are trying to complete a commendation, but there will be plenty of opportunities, if you play smart.

Let’s be honest it’s only the legendary bosses that are the problem, 25 points is nothing compared to 150.

Actually i like the fact that everyone who contributed gets the medal fair is fair imo but the most damage gets the commendation very well balanced system.

I was unmotivated after I completed all of my Warzone commendations.

This is just one of the reasons why I’ve stopped playing Warzone

The more I think about it the more I feel like if the system would change it would eliminate the epic three way battles between the two teams and the bosses. Because only the last shot matters, there is almost always a huge standoff near legendary bosses during a close match. If both teams realize how important a team is, you’ll have players fighting both the boss and trying to suppress the enemy team long enough to get a boss kill. Balancing it to where the kill shot matters less might remove the incentive for team strategy, thus eliminating epic standoffs.

I think the points should be like if blue team has more damage then red team then
points go to blue team
instead of last hit but 343 showed an ad just making fun of this so I think this is here to stay…
