Why I'm moving to PC

Xbox One is the worst console for consumers ever made. It requires 1,5MB internet speed to work but here in Spain I often run under 1MB. So what, I won’t be able to even play Halo campain?
Second hand restrictions: I’m a student and my parents don’t pay my taxes so I’m not the one who will buy 2-3 games a year… maybe 1 a year or less if there’s no second hand.
I have the feeling Microsoft just want to milk us like cows. They think our “loyalty” is strong enough to get over all those things but you know what? I’m a very very Halo fanboy but with this “One” coming on I’m afraid it’s time to look for other hobbies.

MS has allready lost the next gen. You’ll see.

Oh and BTW why should I buy a 100$ more expensive Xbox One if I can have ALMOST ANY game on a japanese platform?
Halo: I love you. If played you 90% of all my playing time since Halo CE but now it’s time to say good bye

Well, that’s the third one today, see ya man.

Really, everyone has to post their leaving?

The Xbox only needs to connect to the internet once a day, it doesn’t need a fast internet connection, also them cutting down on used games will result to better deals, just look at steam if you are doubtful.

It’s no use, nothing we say can changehis opinión if it’s already set, so, why bother? =/

And why I don’t care or anyone else here.

I like how you say your moving to PC because Xbox One is going to lose this gen. PC has always been ahead of consoles. Specifically in entertainment and video games. Now Microsoft is focusing on making a console good at those things. I ask people when was the last time they purchased a PC game on disc and how many steam games they bought because that’s whats happening. Games are moving off of discs, Microsoft realizes this obviously because they are making all games install to your system, like a PC, all games will be available through the Xbox store and all will save to your library from which you can redownload a game if on another console. PC was already next Gen, and now the Xbox One is following while the PS4 is staying behind pleasing fans with old things in a new coat of paint. Really how good is a computer without internet? Who uses a computer without internet? Pc’s always been ahead, now X1 is catching up while PS4 is not.

I already moved to pc more and more after Halo started becoming less and less Halo.

And the generation after this next one, the ps5 will announce it is doing it too. That is Sony’s tactic. Follow with a distance, then if something catches, they do it with their next console.

Can anybody give me 1 good reason (not Halo) why should ONE be better than PS4? I love Halo but this is too much.
In Spain sometimes you don’t have internet connection for 1 week because a storm or anything. Well if I don’t have internet then what?

Did you guys know all those TV programming on XBOX 360 in europe is useless? I mean all those multimedia advantatges do not work properly in europe because we can see everything on regular TV.
I’m sorry but I’m too disgusted to explain all the reasons. I just feel like if I buy ONE everybody is going to make fun of me because I took such a wrong decision.

Just go with what you know you could play. Obviously if you cannot play the xbox one because of internet issues, then that isn’t the ideal choice.

BUT, the ps4 is not an ‘ideal’ choice either, since DRM and used game restrictions will be up to individual publishers and developers. In other words, third party games might still require these things on both consoles.

I know. This next generation feels like… rotten? It doesn’t smell good at all.

Because of the delayed launches Microsoft have already ceded defeat to Sony in Asian regions if Sony launches simultaneously worldwide.

I don’t think Microsoft are a factor at all in Japan given what has been revealed, they have failed to address any of the criticisms the Japanese had of the prior Xboxes and just followed their usual arrogant routine which will ensure Japanese consumers don’t even consider the Xbox One regardless of its merits.

I don’t think there’s any chance Microsoft will sell more consoles in Europe than Sony.

The only country they’ll be highly competitive and have a very good chance at winning the installed base war is the US and even there I think many consumers will jump to the $100USD cheaper PS4 knowing they can buy games second-hand and save even more.

I can see how Xbox One comes across as a US designed console designed for US consumers to the detriment of consumers from other regions and that is a very dangerous thing for Microsoft since the majority of people live in other countries.

Sony practically handed Microsoft an easy win last generation and Microsoft still couldn’t convincingly take the crown globally so I don’t see how Microsoft will fare any better this coming generation.

The above is in my opinion of course.

Hopefully their next console comes sooner than seven year’s then. I like innovation so if Sony wants to sit back then so be it.

Yes MS is only looking at US market. They’ve forgotten Asia long ago and now they’re disparaging Europe. Well, US is big but I don’t understand why they despise the world. It seems as they think everybody has to buy ONE for no reason

1.5 MB is a recommended speed, it isn’t required.
