Its a free to play game and the big corporate suits at 343i and Microsoft need to make their Money.
So the first battlepass is to do with Halo Reach but not all armour pieces from Reach are available in the battlepass. Most of them are locked behind the Paywall…
Now I’m a halo veteran, played a little bit of halo 2 multiplayer, a lot of Halo 3 and way too much of Halo Reach. Not that much of halo 4 and barley anything of 5.
So ive had my Halo Reach helmet for a long time even with Reach and in the MCC. The Hazop helmet lol. Its not much but its mine and i rocked that helmet for years and I was happy to see it in infinite. With the paywall the only way I can get this helmet is to
PAY MORE MONEY for it.
Every other customizations from Reach are locked behind the daily or weekly bundles so who’s the say they can be available again down the line. It could be there one week and then just gone. At the moment there is no way for me to earn any in game credits to purchase this single piece of armour.
At the moment 343 made a little tweak with the progression system and people are happy but let’s be honest…Will it get better.
I’m having a great time and it’s been a long time since a good halo game. I want this game to do well and I won’t put any more money into it, I just can’t. I don’t t have the luxury to do so. We as a fan base of halo shouldn’t just roll over with these small improvements when there is still a lot that is not fair. From basic colours to armour pieces to the simple ability to mix and match all customizations. I hope that my small voice in the big halo fan base doesn’t go unnoticed and that I’m not alone with these simple things being taken away from us and locked behind the pay wall.
