As you can see it was a complete blow out. I was dropped into this game. That happens to me a lot even when I stay in the lobby after game. Anyway, I know this team was basically farming us. They did not capture the third flag even though they had ample opportunity to. You can tell that by the stats.
I knew I would end up with many deaths, and had no hope of winning. I stay in situations like this for two reasons: 1) so I can have an opportunity report them, and 2) so I can do my best to keep as many of the opposing’s team from earning a Perfection. It sounds ridiculous most people don’t do this. But teams like this piss me off something fierce. I think it is the worst type of sportsmanship out there. Am I alone in this? Any other Waypointers feel the same and put in this ridiculous and futile effort?
What a bunch of losers. JIP sucks sometimes especially when you joined a team being farmed and it’s 5 vs 12 but I stay and try to get as many kills as I can.

Don’t worry. It’s a meaningless stat added for companies in search of Achilles farmers.

Yeah, but I am actually trying to get my BTB KD up. I want to try out for a certain company that has a 1.2 requirement. Still I just can’t bring myself to quit.
Report people for what exactly? Nobody is cheating or glitching, just ignoring objectives and going for kills like people have been doing in literally every single fps game ever made.

They did nothing wrong, but it is still not cool to farm.
I always stay in games until the end. Personally, I’m skilled enough to go about even, even if it’s 1v4, and I have a mindset that quitting effects your rank more negatively than staying in the game.

That’s one way of looking at it. But it’s not report worthy, as OP stated he does. And this kind of gameplay will never go away. Ever. I’ve been playing FPS games for like 20 years and every game I’ve ever played had a portion of the community that farms kills, spawns kills, controls areas of the map to control spawns, etc. I’ve yet to see a game that prevented these things from happening.

Unsporting, it’s a choice in the Report section. It may not be cheating, but it is definitely frowned upon and unnecessary. Plus the player with the most kills is a leader of a clan that claims, “Honor is life.” Not much honor in this type of gaming.

Making sure nobody gets Perfections is my favorite “tactic” if we’re being stomped.

The way that bunch must have played looks a very sad way to play to get points. Not a sporting soul among them by the looks of those stats, but I bet they’re really proud and boastful of what they “achieve”. Achieve, my a***. They would likely argue they’re not cheating, which technically might be true, but the aim of that game was Capture The Flag was it not?
In that light I would suggest cheating, unsporting and dishonourable cheating. They should be ashamed and have their scores deleted as they haven’t earned it.

It’s really frustrating when they have the cheek to t-bag you, even when it’s 4v1.

I’ve been playing FPS games for like 20 years and every game I’ve ever played had a portion of the community that farms kills, spawns kills, controls areas of the map to control spawns, etc. I’ve yet to see a game that prevented these things from happening.
Actually there have been a few FPS games that prevented spawn killing by coding the game to where spawns become random if it detects people staying in certain spots. I know Bungie mentioned something about this with H3 in the old bnet forums back then. Certain COD games also instituted coding like this…that’s why in BLOPS3 you sometimes spawn in the back of an area held down by the enemy, it’s so that no one team gets spawn trapped. Happens all the time when I play BLOPS3, on every single map. You don’t necessarily spawn directly behind an enemy, but you will spawn behind them at a distance and out of their sights.
Halo is just always outdated and behind…it’s like the iPhone and all other FPS games are Android. Halo has great aesthetics and history, but the gameplay and features are always behind the FPS competitors and Halo devs are always trying to tell us we don’t need certain features even if we have been begging for them for years. I could go on forever lol
If I die in Breakout, losing my chance to get an Immortal medal, I make sure everyone on the enemy team dies, too, so they don’t get it either. So, yeah, I kinda feel the way you do, although I never report people, always too busy admiring my req collection and(or raging about)post game stats.
